One of the first things they will do, will be to attempt to get several states to de-certify the election of Joe Biden and install Donald Trump into the presidency.
If that doesn't work, the second thing they will do will be to impeach Joe Biden. They will be out for revenge, in order to keep their base from revolting.
They will impose radical immigration policies on our southern border.
They will pass anti-abortion laws in every state possible.
It will be one of the most radical agendas this nation has ever seen, in my opinion.
Is there any way to get to a ceasefire in Ukraine?
Or have we already gone beyond that point?
Can there be any sort of "ceasefire" with Russia pulling all of their tanks and troops out of Ukraine?
Would the Russian people ever demand that Vladimir Putin step down? Or would they stick with him in the same way the Germans stuck with Hitler, almost to the last man?
Is there any way to avoid escalating this war to a grander scale?
It is very depressing.
Helpless
Throw the book at Mark Meadows.
There is evidence already, from the tapes and the text messages that show the degree he conspired to overthrow the last election. All evidence points to seditious conspiracy.
They may not have the evidence on Donald Trump yet, but they have it on Meadows. Not only is he refusing to talk with the Committee but he is also withholding documents that have been requested by the Congress.
He was the person that every Republican talked to when they wanted to send a message to Donald Trump, as if we had a king or something? Even his family would communicate with Meadows when they wanted to say something to their father. Meadows was involved with the entire conspiracy every inch of the way.
Even to the point of calling up election officials in Georgia to try to get them to call the White House. Trump wanted the official, the Secretary of State, to find 11,780 votes our of thin air and declare him the victor in Georgia. They have it on tape.
Never mind that Meadows was registered in three different places to vote. He has caused great damage to our country and must be held accountable.
A sentence of 10-20 years might give him the incentive to want to talk with the Committee? Only the threat of a long prison sentence will loosen his tongue. Only then will Donald Trump be charged.
Mark Meadows should be charged immediately.
Democrats are Americans first.
As are many Republicans.
America is more important than either political Party. Our democracy is more important than either the Democratic or the Republican Party. Our loyalty to our country and to our democracy must supersede the loyalty to any political Party.
There has been much debate about what issues the Democratic Party should run on, in the next election. Many say they should stick to kitchen table issues. They say that most Americans have forgotten about January 6th and the attempted coup to overthrow an election.
Others argue just the opposite. They argue that no issue is more important than saving our democracy. Democrats cannot forget about the kitchen table issues but they must put saving our democracy at the front of all issues.
They must appeal to the American people to come together for the sake of our country and our democracy. They must put aside their partisan differences and come together to fight the divisive and autocratic cult that threatens all of us.
We must understand that there are many Republicans that feel just as patriotic about our country as do Democrats. This is a time where we need to unite against a domestic enemy that threatens our very existence.
We must find a way for our fellow Americans to divorce themselves from the destructive force that has taken root in our nation.
Which Party is the most "moral"?
Who does not remember the "Moral Majority" of Jerry Falwell. They turned out to be neither.
Republicans profess to be strong believers in God and religion but, in reality, they are some very strong hypocrites. They do not practice what they preach. Their least-quoted Bible passage is probably the "Sermon on the Mount", the red words of Jesus.
They accuse Democrats of being the Party of the Devil. They are quick to break the rule against judging others. Their God seems to hate "sex", or anything to do with sex, more than any other thing on Earth.
In my opinion, as a sinner of great magnitude, I can only say that the Democratic Party has always seemed more "moral" in the big picture of the world. They more closely follow the teachings of Jesus and are much less judgemental toward their fellow man. Their ideas and practices follow a path that will make the world better for all, in my humble opinion.
There are bushels of flaws in all political Parties, but it seems to me that the Democratic Party is much closer to the moral teachings of the Bible and other great books.
This is not meant as a religious post but only an observation.
When in Rome, do as the Romans do...
If the attack on the Capitol was done by Democrats and it was the lives of Republicans that were threatened, how would the Republican Party react?
If Joe Biden had sat in the White House and watched the violence unfold on TV and refused to stop it, despite all the pleadings from Republican leaders, what would Republicans say?
If the shoe was on the other foot, and activists from the Left did the same thing that Trump supporters did on January 6th, how would Republicans act?
Would they immediately impeach? Would Democrats help them convict?
Democrats must play by the same rules as the Republicans. Otherwise, they cannot survive as a Party.
You can bet your bippy that there would be Democrats in jail if they were complicit in attacking our Capitol.
WWRD? What Would Republicans Do?
If we lose our democracy, we lose the Democratic Party.
But, you knew that, right?
We have already lost the Republican Party. They were willing to surrender the idea of a "republic". If we lose the "democratic republic", we have lost the idea of a democracy, also.
All the chips are on the table.
We are half-way there.
The "coup" never stopped.
It goes on even as we speak.
There was a short interval where it appeared to be defeated and embarrassed, but that lasted no longer than it took Kevin McCarthy to go down to Mar-a-Lago and kiss the ring of the Leader of the Coup. Since then, the efforts have continued in their attempts to overthrow the last election and to put Trump back into the White House. The efforts never ceased.
The coup continues today. It did not end with the election of Joe Biden. He is still illegitimate in the eyes of many Republicans and coup supporters.
In fact, it would not be surprising, if the Republicans win back the House this November, to see them attempt once again to get a few selected states to overturn Biden's electoral victories and attempt to put their Leader back in power before the next election in 2024.
The Great Republican Programs
Just think if the Republicans were in control of everything.
The immigration problem would go away immediately.
There would never be a hunger problem.
There would be no inflation. There would be no unemployment. Everyone would be healthy.
We would have the best education system in the world.
The pandemic would never have happened, and if it did, they would do little about it. The people would reserve the right to die.
They would have won the war in Afghanistan and would never have gone into Ukraine.
They would give more taxcuts to the wealthy, since that is the best way to help the poor and middle class.
Social programs would no longer be needed. We would be living in a utopia.

The reality is that Republicans blame all of society's ills on the Democrats and the liberals and their only solution is to do nothing. They are not responsible for anything that might be wrong in our society. They certainly do not wish to fix any problems. Their wish is to be in power in order to stop helping people. They are anti-government. They are anti-democracy. They are anti-freedom.
