Trump: "we must cherish our history"

My administration is restoring the sacred bonds of loyalty between this nation and its citizens, but our citizens must also restore the bonds of trust and loyalty between one another. We must love each other, respect each other, and cherish our history and our future together. So important. We have to respect each other. Ideally, we have to love each other.

What can cherishing our history have to do with the events at Charlottesville, other than the removal of the Lee statue? I.e., when he says there is blame on "all sides", he means that some of the blame belongs to the people who got the statue removed.

As a tangent, has anyone noted that the "General Lee" in the Dukes of Hazzard was a Dodge Charger?

Scaramucci called leaks "small potatoes"

just like Toby Ziegler.

CJ asks a good question, are there bigger potatoes somewhere?

CUOMO: Isn't the leak investigation a distraction from the agenda? Isn't a big part of this leak investigation a distraction from that agenda?

SCARAMUCCI: How is it a distraction? We have to clamp down the leaks. The President and I are working together with a large group of people now to suppress and clamp down the nefarious nature of these leaks. And again I'm talking about the stuff going on with leaking on Syria, North Korea. And like i said, the President views the White House leaks, a lot of this stuff as small potatoes. I mean I can't even have dinner with the guy, seven minutes later, five journalists know I'm having dinner with him and they have the guest list. I don't know. is that how we should be running the White House? You know we shouldn't be running the White House like that.

C.J.
Yeah. So what's this about?

A lengthy silence falls between them. Toby gets up and stands behind his
desk.

TOBY
This is small potatoes. I want to know, when the big potatoes come, are we
up for it?

C.J.
Big potatoes? Toby, we ran for election. We lived through Leo and booze,
Sam and
prostitutes, India and Pakistan, Columbia and a failed rescue mission. Are
there
bigger potatoes someplace?

TOBY
[quietly, not meeting her gaze] No.

C.J.
(sharply, looking very concerned) Toby?

Toby looks up at her, and shifts his weight slightly from side to side.

TOBY
Yeah?

C.J.
Why are you lying to me?

TOBY
I'm not. (clears his throat) Thanks for doing that stuff today. (more
shifting)
It was...

C.J. stares at him silently, looking extremely unconvinced.
