How to be a ho.

Serve as Secretary of Energy. Start a foundation. Use the foundation to publish propaganda beneficial to the people who fund your foundation. If we had a functional government, this revolving door crap would result in jail time.

Trump can salute. So can I. So can you.

OK. I shouldn't salute. Neither should Trump. Neither should anyone else not in uniform. Which uniform? I don't know. Members of the military should, of course. Retired military personnel in uniform should. The cops do it, but I don't think they should. The VFW and American legion do it, but I don't think they should. Excessive saluting seems like cheap patriotism.

When is a chicken not a pet?

Another article about the latest, hottest trend. We are supposed to belive that squijillions of people are keeping chickens as pets, much the same as cats and dogs are pets. I'm not buying it. Several people in my neighborhood have chickens, and I think they're counted among pet chickens owners because they don't have commercial farms. But the chickens are hardly pets. They live in a coop, don't have individual names, are not cuddly or playful, and have their eggs taken for human consumption. The article creates the impression that all of them are pets. We regularly get pranked by these "latest hot trend" articles and I think this is an example.

Nukes are tbe future. Suck it up, buttercup.

Looks like the big challenges to replacing fossil fuel generated electricity with nuclear generated electricity will be financial, not technical. We are going to do this, so we might as well accept that going carbonless is a social effort that requires spreading the cost across the whole of the population, rather than allowing individual utility companies to place the burden on rate payers.

Service dogs do not bite people.

According to the article, it has not been confirmed that the dog that bit two people is a real service dog. I doubt it. It's easy to get a phony certificate and a phony vest for a few dollars. Also, the dog is a Belgian Malinois, which seems a bad choice to be a service dog. Anyway, I hope there is a big, fat lawsuit that stimulates more action to curtail the phony service dog trend.

Voter ID requirement catches Boris Johnson.

I don't know if there's any irony here because I don't know if Johnson pushed voter ID as a way to limit participation. I wish some of our ID zealots would be turned away from the polls.

Bears Ears oil and gas leases canceled.

You may remember Bears Ears National Monument. Obama designated it. Trump shrank it down by a lot. Biden restored most of it. The Bureau of Land Management, the bad BLM, tried to lease a big chunk of it for oil and gas. Now it appears the BLM is backing down when faced by lawsuits. If you get a chance to visit, be sure to research the rock art locations. I only got to explore a tiny bit of it, and I was amazed.

Anarchists seem to do well in Oregon.

Every time there is a protest in Portland or Eugene, stuff gets destroyed. I'm not sure why so many anarchists live there, but Oregon can't have any kind of political demonstration without anarchists injecting violence and destruction. If I were a cynical person, I might conclude that anarchists were paid to do what they do as some kind of red herring.

Is Trump sleeping and farting in court intentionally?

Just personal.speculation here. It would be a way, or two ways I guess, to show his disdain without getting cited for contempt. Is there any rule that prohibits the defendant and from sleeping or farting?

Havana syndrome not "real" according to the government.

Many embassy employees bieve they are sick because Russia beams some kind of energy toward our embassies and consulate. The government says no. My friends who were stationed in several embassies do not think Havana syndrome is a real thing.
