Randomthought's JournalFriend being abused
What do you do for a friend being emotionally abused?
She won't leave because they are both old and he has had hip replacement surgery.
He refuses recovery be a7se he wants her to take care of him.
This abuse has been going on for years but subtle
I advise her to seek a counselor for her self but it seems this guy controls her.
She had to sneak away from him to talk to me.
Any ideas?

Always speak out
I am in tears, I picked up my car from the body shop (parking scrape) late this afternoon. The car was perfectly repaired and detailed. I noticed that three other clients had their cars brought around before me .. no worries cars are parked as they are parked. When my car was brought out both owners came out to talk. Paul asked " how long we had known each other?" I said since 1992 and he and his brother talked about how much I had meant to the the neighborhood before I moved away, about 15 years ago.
They mentioned my political work and my anti war work. All of this was many years ago, I thought no one cared but two men my age remembered
They talked about retirement and problems selling their business but mostly the talked about how much my community activism meant to them and others.
I HAD NO IDEA!
According to these businessmen I had encouraged ours to speak out. This was 25 years ago.
ALWAYS SPEAK OUT SONEONE HEARS YOU AND YOU DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
