(508 posts)... most Americans are still voting for politicians who dont support Medicare for All, protecting pensions, strengthening Social Security, etc.
Bernie is way outnumbered by those who oppose making the lives of Americans more secure and safer. As long as there are a majority of republicants and Democrats who keep supporting the status quo Bernie has no chance of seeing his ideas come to fruition.
But, he will continue to speak out and educate whether he occupies a Senate seat or has the bully-pulpit of the Presidency.
Change is going to require politicians who are more willing to speak out and fight for that change. There are no republicants and far too few Progressive Democrats fighting the good fight.
Bernie is not to be faulted for the lack of support he gets. Democrats need to step up and demand their politicians work for a better America instead of simply settling for not being republicants.
