(9,897 posts)That state is derisively referred to by my father as "Indianastan" after the mess Pence made of it and the gerrymandering that has all but assured the Democrats have no voice in Indiana or in national politics.
A lot of people want to push Pete to the side and use the "experience" (go be Senator or Governor or Representative before Presidential run) as a negative for his candidacy. In my eyes, it makes him MORE appealing to a lot of people because they STILL want change, but they are not getting the benefits they thought voting for Trump would bring them. The system is rigged but not against the 0.1% who are taking the lion's share of the profits and the social justice for themselves and less for everyone else.
I hope that he shines on the debate stage as well as he has in interviews and appearances online and at rallies. This guy is the anti-Trump and a VERY talented politician with a real chance IMO...
