(67,782 posts).....that hasn't been introduced on the floor of the House yet. The concept of addressing climate change is not "now" adopted by most candidates, it was adopted by many candidates years if not decades ago. Remember Al Gore? Joe Biden began pushing for climate change legislation back in 1987, that's more than 30 years ago.
Some form of Medicare accessibility has been a fact since 1965, 54 years ago when Lyndon Johnson signed Medicare into law, and "some form" of universal healthcare coverage has been a concept since John Dingell Sr. first introduced in in the early 1940s, 75+ years ago and reintroduced just about every year since by John Dingell Jr. and later Jr's wife Debbie.
Free public college was a reality in many states or municipalities many years ago. When I entered college in 1966, if I hadn't won a full academic scholarship from a private college I would have gone to City College, part of CCNY, with zero tuition. The same was the case for SUNY. This has changed over the years, but the idea of free tuition for public college is decades old.
Unfortunately some are attributing many things that have been policy or fact for decades to some current legislators as "revolutionary ideas". That's simply is not true.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
