(5,811 posts)There will be a time when President Obama will have to ask himself if his "legacy" was valid or a farce... - not sure what this means
The Bush era tax cuts extentsions.... this was probably horsetrading which presidents have to do. When Bernie was asked why he was running as a Democrat, he told his audience that he had to deal with the realities of what is. If he wanted to run successfully, he needed the infrastructure of the Dem primaries and caucuses. Was he selling out or being practical?
No jailed Wall Street executives.... I didn't want them jailed. I wanted all the money and more if they do it again.
TPP AKA SHAFTA.... this deal does not threaten American jobs because the new jobs are in technology and Americans don't have the education or skills to do them. We are an anti-intellectual society. We seem to cherish our ignorance and stupidity. This is wny they have to import workers from the middle and far east to work in those jobs. Currently there are over 3 millions jobs in the US that cannot be filled byAmerican workers. THat's on us. And no matter how many times President Obama tries to explain this, we just don't get it. This is why he wants to make the first two years of college free so we can get up to speed. But again we are just too stupid to get it.
Claiming climate change is real then give Royal Dutch Shell carte blanche to drill in the Arctic - I don't believe they're up there drilling for oil. Russia is also up there and I don't think they're drilling for oil either.
Also you can add Eric Holder to the list as well...sellout - AG Holder got the best deals because he got the money, which I hope went to the people who lost so much. He also did a great job on the BP oil spill. I cannot wait for his book to come out so out the trash he had to deal with.
But the bottom line is we are the problem - we the consumers. We want change but we have to change our consuming behavior. We keep consuming stuff we don't need. we have to change.
