(816 posts)3. Everything is relative. I believe WA state is considered
blue, but because Portland OR is just across the river from me, Vancouver WA feels red. I voted Purple.
WA is like NY where a large, liberal urban area (Seattle / NYC) skews the overall state vote enough to mask the fact that most of the state is more moderate than liberal.
