6. I wonder what it's like to live in their world

I know that people like Perkins with media-related positions are mostly playing up fears for their own enrichment (although I'm sure a few believe what they're actually saying), but the people who listen to (and believe) them, who are fed a steady diet of fear-mongering, how do they even step outside? The neighbor has a Prius! He's going on my list! When did a Black family move in next door? Am I safe? The guy across the street has a Mexican gardener! Doesn't he know we're being invaded from the south? Why is there an Indian restaurant next door to my Applebee's? Brother's kid isn't interested in going out for football... better keep an eye on him so he doesn't turn into a fag. Etc.

It's like these people switch between perpetual anger and perpetual fear, and the only joy is the kind of mocking kind when something happens that liberals don't like (like Hobby Lobby), but even that's short-lived because their fearmongers start back up that even though they "won" on that and that they represent the most privileged segments of society in race and religion, etc. there's no time to rest because liberal socialist fascist communists are still out there working against them because they haven't gotten their way 100% on every issue.
