Being rich would be a lot more useful in supporting the charities I like to support.
Am I privileged in all sorts of ways by having pale skin? Sure. Especially over people with darker skin in 'identical situations'. But do you sit around comparing yourself to people 'in identical situations'? I don't. I try to change my situation so that I'm not even in 'identical situations' with me.
But if Chris Rock is willing to switch places with me, just send him my way, and he can try being unemployed and white, while I try on his millions while being black. Heck, since I've been unemployed, it's not like I really even run into many people face to face. On the internet, people don't know your skin tone until you tell them.
White privilege does exist in America. Blatantly so, in pretty much every aspect of society. But if you're rich, there's nothing saying you have to hang around America, and being rich is being privileged the world over.
So I'd certainly trade 'white privilege' for 'plutocrat privilege'.
