Studies show that inequality has actually grown since the end of Apartheid. In Asia, the various Chinese diaspora tend to be very wealthy compared to the ethnic majority populations.

So while a powerful class might become a minority and lose votes, it doesn't necessarily change the wealth balance in other countries.

20. I had a unique experience as a child.

I am as white as Karl Rove. I was a minority in my neighborhood all the way through high school. This was in the 60s. My high school was 49% Hispanic, 39% Black, etc. My race, "white" was classified under 6% "other."

It was the most wonderful experience of my life living amongst diversity. I enjoyed people of other cultures as friends and peers. It gave me a huge advantage when I entered the diversified workforce in the early 70s in what is now Silicon Valley. When the Viet Namese people arrived in large numbers in the late 70s. I embraced them as friends, co-workers and neighbors. It was easy to do because of my past experiences. People who want to socialize with "their own kind" may think they have a right to do so, but they are missing out on the very essence of life in the United States.

If, say, Jewish people in Israel were concerned with 'losing their identity' would that be something we would ridicule and call xenophobic/racist/etc? It is not uncommon for people in many cultures to dislike the marrying in of someone from outside their culture/race/religion. It would probably be worrisome to many in say, Japan, if suddenly their country was made up of less Japanese people and more white people.

I say this because it is not a problem/idea that is unique to one group of people (ie, in the case of the op white people).

Am I afraid? No, couldn't care less if I tried real hard. I just don't give a shit who marries who, what race/culture you are and where you live, etc. Just be happy and nice to me and I offer the same in return.

Is this only an issue we talk about when it comes to one country (which is, admittedly and I say gladly a cultural/racial melting pot) or should others be shamed into not wanting to keep things remaining somewhat static?

I am sure that in other countries we see the same racism directed at those not most like others to some varying degree - so is this an international issue to discuss or just one relating to one sub group in this country?

The right has made it a point to ostracize those that don’t follow lock step in their deception calling them rhinos and belittling them for and form of free thought that falls outside their framework of misinformation/hatred of the opposition, Dale Schultz of Wisconsin is a great example.Dale looked out for his constituents best interest and represented his constituents interest even though it fell outside party.

In my opinion he didn’t run for re-election because he knew the big money would not fund his campaign and he would face a over-funded teahaddist in a primary that even if he won would do enough damage it would end his chances in the general election.


I could go on and on about this but the basic premise of the the right is this.

As the global economy becomes more and more intrusive into American economic and the resource of "wealth" flows out of this country, the right will try to fight an increase in inflation because it reduces the value of their wealth. When the wealth become less and less in country if inflation does not take place the amount of wealth in our economy become less and less(at-least for 90% of us).

What the real fight is really about is the right keeping their entire wealth intact at the expense of the American people and that’s why they are so willing to spend large amounts to demonize minorities and have puppet politicians.
