(116,464 posts)"ProSense, if not one now, has the makings of a very successful criminal or corporate civil defense attorney. When faced with a set of facts clearly unfavorable to his or her client, a good defense attorney will do everything possible to deflect the attention of the court away from the actual issues at hand. Instead, he or she will first set out to impugn the character of the victim and the veracity of opposing witnesses by any means that may raise questions as to the character, reputation, or courtroom appearance and behavior of the witnesses."
...I'm not an "attorney" of any kind. Still, you appear to be describing exactly what you're doing. For example, I'm critical of Greenwald and Snowden. You on the other hand, are focusing on me. You are trying to "deflect" attention from my criticism of the two. You've "set out to impugn" my "character" because you disagree with my POV.
"The defense may also try to overwhelm the court with tangentially or non relevant evidence, case citations, briefs, motions, and mountains of documents alleged to support the case of the defendant."
There, you're dismissing everything I post, as if somehow counter arguments or opposing POVs to mine posted here are limited in their abundance.
"The ultimate goal is to create such a distraction from any actual evidence of guilt, as to create even the slightest reasonable doubt in the mind of at least one juror. "
Again, you're focusing on me. What prevents you or anyone from countering, ignoring or rejecting my arguments?
We're on a discussion board, and your comment is a classic case of attacking someone's character to avoid discussing the issues.
You are free to posts any counter argument in any thread I post. I may have come across you at some point (I don't recall), but you apparently have spent a significant amount of time analyzing me instead of debating me.
Why?
