This is my message:
The United States Supreme Court is supposed to be above politics, and beyond the highly corrupting reach of billionaire donors to Justices. It is deeply alarming that the Supreme Court has agreed to hear arguments concerning Donald Trump's claim of immunity from federal criminal prosecution. As the DC Circuit wrote concerning this matter, "We cannot accept that the office of the Presidency places its former occupants above the law for all time thereafter."
Neither can the American people. The possibility is beyond comprehension. It could mean the end of the Republic.
The credibility and legitimacy of the Court are at stake.
The nation and the world are watching.

I'm a little perplexed by the reaction here. None of the liberal justices dissented

I can't think of anyone less likely to be troubled by angry public opinion than John Roberts.
