If they think that attacking Dolly Parton turns off potential Republican voters, wouldn't they also think that attacking Taylor Swift would encourage her fans to vote Democratic?
My theory seems simpler - they desperately needed something to talk about this weekend other than the law catching up with Trump. Swift and Kelce are celebs, so they get really big news coverage (Parton's famous, but not at the top of her news worthiness). MAGAts love a conspiracy theory that says they're being oppressed, so this is what was needed on RW media to keep the morons moronic.
