14. This was a turning point for me

My sympathies had long sided with the Palestinians. I still do to some extent, and I still support a two-state solution. But Arafat’s all-or-nothing approach and constant moving of the goalposts showed that he wasn’t serious about an end to the conflict. And again, another chance for peace fell through.
