1. Well, the 117th congress will be sworn in on January 3.

The 46th president will be sworn in on January 20, and at that time the old one and hundreds of appointees will essentially be history. That's always the way except for a few who are asked to agree to remain.

Itm, if we control the senate and house, we'll already be doing great things in congress. When the 46th president is sworn in, stacks of important legislation will already be waiting to sign into law and much more coming fast. Much work is already done, just lacking the power.

And of course powerful, Democratic-controlled committees will already be addressing many issues of people in government who shouldn't have been and their actions while they were. Goodness knows they've had to wait far, far too long. We may be angry, but they know far, far more about what to be angry about.
