(23,677 posts)If I'm reading the chart correctly, only 53% of people aged 55+ use FB, whereas 69% of people aged 35-54 and 62% aged 12-34 use FB.
So looks to me their target audience is 18 - 54.
The 12-34 age group, Millennials and Gen Z'ers, has decreased from 79% to 62% in the past 3 years. A drop of 17%.
The 35-54 age range which is comprised of Millenials and Gen X'ers has remained steady at 69-72% participation.
There has been a slight uptick (4%) in the 55+ group in 2019. Probably due to the youngest Boomers (born in 1964 turned 55 in 2019) aging into that group for the first time. Growth in that group was flat in 2017-2018.
So looks like it the it's Millennials (1977-1995) age 25-43 and Gen X'ers (1965-1976) age 44-55 who are really propping up FB.
