(51,651 posts)I wrote to him because the economy sucked and I couldn't find a summer job while in college. The other time I wrote to him was about the POWs and MIAs still missing from the Vietnam War. He didn't write anything back, he just sent the typical and generic form letters. I expected as much from him. That was before the internet.
I wrote an email to Obama in 2016 and wanted to know what he was going to do about Russia since I thought the punishment should have been really harsh and Putin wouldn't give up. I also wrote that I was worried about losing my ACA coverage since I am sick. He was very nice and was more concerned with my health than Russia, while I was more concerned with Putin than my illnesses.
When I write to the fucking moron I tell him what a horrible president and insane person he is and suggest he resign, go swimming in a shark infested pool (he hates sharks), go visit Putin and stay there forever, etc.
After the first one I got a lovely reply and thank you for supporting him...REALLY! I guess that wasn't mean enough. After that I have let everything I really think about him flow since they obviously aren't read by anyone. And I request NO REPLY (it just allows me to blow off steam).
