Tennessee not issuing coronavirus stats on Sunday due to 'unplanned shutdown'

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.wate.com/health/coronavirus/tennessee-not-issuing-coronavirus-stats-on-sunday-due-to-unplanned-shutdown/amp/

“TDH will not issue data on COVID-19 cases and tests on Sunday, June 28, due to an unplanned shutdown of the state surveillance system. Daily provision of case counts and additional data will resume once the system returns to full functionality. Full statement below."

Snip

In a news release, the Tennessee Department of Health said:

“TDH uses the National Electronic Disease Surveillance System Base System, known as NBS, developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to help local, state and territorial health departments manage reportable disease data and send it to CDC. This system houses data for all reportable diseases in Tennessee, including COVID-19, and is the system health department staff members use to perform public health case investigations.

“Due to an extremely high volume of both COVID-19 and other laboratory test results being reported, there have been recent intermittent backlogs of labs in queue to be imported into the NBS system. This issue is not unique to Tennessee, and is affecting all NBS jurisdictions. The TDH team has been working closely with the NBS vendor and Tennessee State Government information technology support to quickly implement fixes that have been identified.

Trump Brother Was in ICU Just Before Filing Suit Over Tell-All

https://www.thedailybeast.com/trumps-brother-robert-was-in-icu-just-before-filing-suit-over-niece-marys-tell-all?ref=home

Robert Trump, Donald’s younger brother, spent at least 10 days in an intensive care unit before being released this week and launching legal action to try and stop the publication of his niece’s explosive tell-all book, Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man, according to multiple people familiar with the situation.

Robert, 72, had been at Mount Sinai hospital’s neurosciences intensive care unit (NSICU) in New York since at least June 11th, being treated for a serious condition. He was discharged on Sunday and, despite his stay in the hospital, he wasted no time in filing and signing complicated legal documents aided by his celebrity attorney Charles Harder and releasing a statement.

"Her attempt to sensationalize and mischaracterize our family relationship after all of these years for her own financial gain is both a travesty and injustice to the memory of my late brother, Fred, and our beloved parents. I and the rest of my entire family are so proud of my wonderful brother, the president, and feel that Mary’s actions are truly a disgrace,” Robert said in his statement to The New York Times roughly 48 hours after he was discharged from hospital.

On its website Mount Sinai boasts that its 16-bed NSICU specializes in “state of the art, compassionate care of patients who suffer from subarachnoid hemorrhage, acute ischemic stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage, subdural hematomas, coma, tumors of the brain and spine, severe or prolonged seizures, neuro-infections, [and] spinal cord injury among others.

Superthrive for stressed tree?

I have an older box elder tree which is dropping yellow leaves. So I called a nursery & was told to get Superthrive.

The man said to put 3 teaspoons per 1 gal of water & to treat the tree weekly for a month. (Directions say 1/2 teaspoon / gallon.)

I bought a 4 oz. Bottle today, but the nursery manager was not in to confirm what he had told me on the phone.

Anyone have exerience with this product? I am planning to mix in a large, clean trash can & use a water pump to treat the drip line.

Thx!

More people, younger people admitted to hospital with COVID-19 [Memphis]

https://www.localmemphis.com/mobile/article/news/health/coronavirus/more-people-younger-people-admitted-to-hospital-with-covid-19/522-a940e931-6757-4a93-a513-c53615b1b50e

Snip

Tuesday, almost another 200 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Shelby County. Monday it was 250. Doctors on the Joint Task Force say the increasing numbers was just one of their concerns.

Snip

In addition to the increase number of cases, there has been a steep incline in the number of hospitalizations. Previously the majority of the hospitalizations were from people in nursing homes, the elderly, or those with comorbidities - chronic long-term conditions.

"We are now seeing much younger people coming to the hospital, many of them in their 20s and 30s, and in many cases, people who do not have any health conditions or comorbidities. This is very worrisome because it's different than the patterns we have been seeing," said Dr. Jon McCullers.

Makes me wonder whether this is from a mutated strain? I'm staying home!
