MySideOfTown's JournalDime Bag
The only thing I remember sold as a Dime Bag was pot. That meant $10. A lid was usually $5. Cocaine wasn't my thing, but I tried it once or twice. As I remember $10 might buy 250 mg of coke. Maybe a line so my son says.

What will happen to me if Democracy goes away?
This was the question on Nicole's Deadline tonight.
It made me think about that in terms of myself. I'm 75. In pretty good health and may live 10 years or more. My only income is $1970/month SS and I have Medicare. Decent savings of $30.000, a paid for car, paid for mobile home with lot rent of 610/month. I live alone in Florida, have enough to pay for food, utilities etc. and have an excess of $800+ or so a month. I'm comfortable and could live this way indefinitely if things do not change much.
I'm probably lucky compared to a lot of people.
I always vote for democrats and particularly women and poc. Because they deserve more representation.
So what could happen if Democracy goes away to upset my apple cart?

?t=23Polk County Florida primary
I just received my democratic primary mail in ballot and I have questions.
Who are these people?
By shear weight, Val Demings for US Senator. has sent me 500 emails asking for money. No one else on the ballot has. She is a former Orlando Chief of Police and really doesn't say what her position on abortion, gay rights, marriage rights, birth control, or voting rights are or else I just missed it . She makes it clear she really doesn't like Marco Rubio, DeSantis, and Scott though. That's enough for me to vote for her in the general. I don't know who Richard De La Fuentes, Brian Rush, or William Sanchez are, though they are Democrats.
