According to the Hope Christian Church’s website, Jackson has been the senior pastor at the ministry since 1988, when he transferred from Corning, New York.
Jackson was not only a pastor but also a political activist who frequently made appearances at White House events or more recently on the campaign trail with Republicans. On April 10, Jackson appeared in the Oval Office at a Good Friday gathering to offer a prayer. He said, “Once again, give this great man, our president, and give the vice president wisdom beyond their natural limitations. Give them insights so they can cover us, lead us and bless us,” Religion News reported.
Jackson also appeared at the White House ceremony for Trump’s official announcement nominating Justice Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court and also appeared alongside Vice President Mike Pence at a town hall on November 1, the outlet wrote. Jackson’s church confirmed to the outlet in October that the pastor had tested negative for coronavirus after the White House event at which many attendees tested positive.

|Lastassija White first noticed something was wrong on October 27. That's when her 5-year-old daughter, Tagan Drone, began acting lethargic. In the days that followed, the child's symptoms only worsened, until the Texas mother became so worried, she rushed her daughter to the ER. It was there on October 29 that the 5-year-old was diagnosed with the coronavirus. Little did the mom know that less than a day later, her daughter would be dead.
At first, Tagan's symptoms seemed benign.
"She was just sleeping, sleeping, sleeping," her mother told KAMR. "That went on until Tuesday and Wednesday. She was still eating and drinking, and then Wednesday night she started throwing up."
ER doctors quickly diagnosed the little girl with the novel coronavirus but told her mother she had nothing to worry about. In fact, they even sent her home, telling White that "she would be fine."
Tagan was found unresponsive in bed the next morning.
Though she was still breathing and her mother immediately called 911, there was nothing doctors could do. She was pronounced dead later that morning, leaving her family absolutely devastated.
White still can't believe what happened.
"My daughter was perfectly healthy," she told KAMR. "Perfectly healthy. There's no way that should have happened. And [the doctor] came in, they discharged us and just told me that she would be fine. It doesn't affect kids, not to have her around anybody older."

As you can see, the shots of the audience (consisting of a balanced demographic of blonde and brunette white women) do not match the energy on stage. Lymon’s zestful stage presence (also, shout-out to Larenz Tate’s portrayal of the late iconic singer) is bursting with joy while these bigoted birds are as bland as the cottage cheese casserole they made for dinner following the concert. They are as rhythmless as the trot they made some 60-odd years later to the polls so they could vote for a tangerine tyrant who eventually lost the race fair and square. Welp.

Georgia leaders reject calls for special session to change runoff voting rules
Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp said Tuesday he won’t call a special legislative session to tighten residency requirements for the Jan. 5 runoffs, despite pressure from some supporters of President Donald Trump to make it harder for new residents to cast their ballots in the consequential election.
He and Georgia’s two top legislative leaders - Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan and House Speaker David Ralston - released a joint statement that threw cold water on the idea that lawmakers could overhaul voting rules this close to the twin runoffs that could determine control of the Senate.
“Any changes to Georgia’s election laws made in a special session will not have any impact on an ongoing election and would only result in endless litigation,” the three Republicans said.
“We share the same concerns many Georgians have about the integrity of our elections. Therefore, we will follow the coming audit and recount closely and will work together to keep Georgia’s elections safe, accessible and fair.”
State Rep. David Clark, who was crushed this week in a bid to oust Ralston as new speaker, is among several Republicans who urged the governor to call lawmakers back to Atlanta. He said legislators should make it harder for newly-arrived Georgians to cast their ballots in the runoffs to prevent outsiders from “interfering in our elections.”
State law allows new residents to register to vote with county officials by Dec. 7. It also makes it a felony to vote if you are in the state briefly with the intention to move away.
Clark and other critics say it opens the possibility for a wave of out-of-state residents to move to Georgia for the dual runoffs, which pit U.S. Sen. David Perdue against Jon Ossoff and U.S. Sen. Kelly Loeffler against the Rev. Raphael Warnock.
There’s no evidence of a crush of out-of-state residents moving to Georgia for the election, though former presidential candidate Andrew Yang announced he would move to the state for the runoffs and encouraged his supporters to follow him. It’s not clear if Yang intends to register to vote.
