President Donald Trump on Tuesday continued his furious New Year’s Day Twitter rampage, this time targeting presumptive incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

In particular, the president taunted Pelosi for having to deal with the consequences of his government shutdown as her first act as incoming leader of the Democratic House of Representatives.

So taking all of that into account, after assaulting a 1-year-old child and hurling racist slurs, this happens:

A Wichita police report says the incident was classified as a case of “battery” and “resist” where the man was suspected of using alcohol. A “personal weapon,” which would include a boot, was involved, the report said.

Riff was arrested and booked into the Sedgwick County jail on Sunday on suspicion of ethnic intimidation, battery and resisting police, an arrest report says.

Hours later, around 3:30 p.m., Riff was released from jail on his own recognizance, meaning he was released without making a payment. If he doesn’t show up to future court appearances, he will have to pay $3,500. Riff does not have any special bond conditions, sheriff’s Lt. Tim Myers said.

What the fuck?

In what realm of reality does this even begin to make any damn sense?

And got off virtually scot-free despite a history of burglary, larceny, DUIs, domestic battery, possession of marijuana, public drunkenness, felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, obstruction, and a bunch of other absurd shit.

Oh, and again he’s currently on probation.

So like I said, White Privilege is definitely a superpower. Because if anybody’s ass should be in prison, it’s this guy.

President Trump has declared that he is now a war veteran following a quick visit to the US troops stationed in Iraq.

The President, who has never served in the military due to that well known and debilitating condition ‘bone spurs’, spent just over five minutes at a joint US and Iraqi air base to the west of Baghdad along with his wife Melania before flying back to the safety of the US as quickly as he could.

After the couple posed for photographs with soldiers, Trump told them, “Well, I guess this makes me one of you guys now.

“I have come here to Iraqistan, faced ISIS head-on, stared death in the face and emerged victorious. I have faced an enemy on the field of battle, and it has changed me forever. At least in the way I describe myself during the election cycle.”

Despite his bone spurs having never prevented him running away from dissatisfied tenants or customers at his apartments and hotels, Trump boasted, “I got a bit of a twinge from my bone spurs as we were coming in to land, but I battled through the pain so that I could stand side by side with our brave troops in the camp cafeteria.

"Throughout the ages some things NEVER get better and NEVER change."

Will there ever be a more idiotic, tone-deaf statement written on New Year's Eve?

If there is a God, now would be a good time to prove it.

The attitude of Corbyn loyalists is that Remainers have nowhere else to go besides Labour. If Labour enable Brexit, this will have no noticeable impact on how Remainers vote in any general election. They dismiss a poll that suggests Labour could lose a large number of votes by attacking the poll: it was funded by the People’s Vote campaign, and “who believes polls?” A more thoughtful criticism is that you are bound to get a large number in any question who highlight Brexit, but general elections will be fought over many issues. In short, Remainers on the left will always vote Labour.

I would agree that one poll tells you little about any future general election, but what it does reveal is the intensity of feeling over the Brexit issue. I think many among the Labour leadership and Corbyn loyalists fail to understand this. They prefer instead to misplace Remainers as the centrist enemy, and see attacks on Corbyn over Brexit as just one more means by which the centre and right of Labour attack Labour. This is a serious mistake.
