Small Lies Matter...
A lie is a lie is a lie - and while we all lie... tis part of the human construct, ones know not lie in certain situations, right? I mean - darling dinner was delicious - is one thing. I think we all know that lying under oath is something different entirely

Heh - they have a rape prosecutor try and go after the victim - but not interrogate the accused? Do they not realise that people all over America are looking at these optics and shaking their heads in disbelief. As someone who came to their teens, and had to suffer through 'acceptable' behaviour from teenage boys that was just nasty, I can see woman of a certain age all over the country shaking their heads at the GOP display today. They are an intolerable bunch of apologists for sexual predators.
48% of White Evangelicals Would Support Kavanaugh Even If He Assaulted Dr. Ford
As we speak, conservative Christians are working to discredit the testimony of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and students from Liberty University are protesting in defense of Brett Kavanaugh.
We know why theyre hell-bent on getting Kavanaugh confirmed to the Supreme Court: He would be a certain fifth vote to overturn abortion rights at the federal level, and no amount of bad behavior in his past is going to shake their conviction that the allegations against him are all part of some giant left-wing conspiracy.
Now we can put some numbers behind how many Americans are looking the other way in spite of the evidence against Kavanaugh. According to a NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll taken last week, 48% of white evangelical Christians say that Kavanaugh should be confirmed to the Supreme Court even if the charge of sexual assault is true.
-----------
f that doesnt tell you the depths of their moral depravity, I dont know what does.
(Incidentally, 54% of Republicans said they would vote to confirm Kavanaugh even if he sexually assaulted her. No other sub-group had numbers as high as Republicans and white evangelicals.)
This isnt a question of whether they believe Kavanaugh or Ford. This is a question about how white evangelicals would react even if they accepted Kavanaughs guilt, and the answer for half of them is that it wouldnt make a damn bit of difference. So what if a woman was nearly raped as long as a conservative is placed on the Supreme Court?

Tomi Lahren tells Michelle Obama to 'sit down'
Michelle Obama said we had a great president. By what measure? Not in economic growth. Not in border enforcement. Not in strength on the world stage. Sit down, Michelle,

Who the fuck does this bratty upstart think she is?
Why should Americans be the only ones allowed to choose the President?
We may not get to have a vote, and in the real world of course the choice of President needs to be the choice of the American people, however next election season I do not think it wrong to wish the rest of us get a say too! Follow my reasoning...
Democracy is a pesky business on occasion, and just sometimes when, as a world, we arrived in 2016, at such a huge crossroads of disorder, the idea that the fate of the planet rested in the ballot box of only one country, I am sure you can agree, was more than a tad concerning to the rest of us. Call us naive but others might have liked something of a say over the choice of the most powerful leader in the free (not so much at the moment) world especially when the choice America made continues to be a direct threat to international security issues. We as a world have had to live through the crazy for what seems like decades, because (some of) the people of America picked an unstable arsehole to govern them (and us to a degree).
I am sure that you have all heard the phrase When America sneezes the world catches cold? It is true. One must just look at the financial collapse last decade to see how Americas policies can have a huge effect abroad. When America voted for the Wanker in Chief it was no longer When America sneezes the world catches cold it is When America sneezes the world catches a WORLD WAR. For many nativists, isolationists, xenophobes and the general far right whackery who have got theirs so do not give a shit if you have yours, they could not have cared less what impact their choice of President had on the rest of us. Maybe this is a rather splendid reason why it should not just be Americans who determine the outcome of future elections? Making the determination to not give a shit about the impact of such a serious voting decisions in a 21st Century global economy and community is not merely faux exceptionalism in the extreme, it is also incredibly dangerous for the rest of us.
At the very least can any future world leader have to pass an internationally sanctioned sanity test? That would make me feel much more comfortable about the future of human kind.
I will repeat that in the real world of course the choice of President needs to be the choice of the American people, but......
