BigmanPigman's JournalIf you attended a Solidarity with Charlottesville event, please share your
experience. I am about to go to my local event (vigil/protest) in San Diego. One out of 700 across the country.
Call your reps at their local offices and tell them that you expect them to DO something or forget getting elected in 2018.
RESIST! Peace.

Ours was filled with singers, speakers, a Dem congressman, and about 500 people. Indivisible and the Women'should March organizers had candles and there were signs. We pledged to call our reps in Congress and not let this be the end but a continuing practice to "Speak out loud and clear at all injustices before hate and violence happens anywhere to anyone in our country".
If you attended a Solidarity with Charlottesville event, please share your experience.

Is David Duke a Native American? What about all the others who claim
they want to give this country back to the real Americans? Where did their ancestors come from? I never hear this argument come up.
Actually, the mayor did say it in his speech today. Good for him!
Sessions is more concerned about stopping "evil marijuana" users than alt-right violence.
The police "held back" at first when the violence started.
They didn't do anything until it got worse. They are partially to blame. I saw this first hand at the last march I attended where an alt-right group came a long distance to incite violence. The cops were there but just stood around in there perimeter and allowed it to happen until one of the guest speakers (an assembly person) called the chief of police.
It was at an Impeach Trump March in San Diego on July 2. There wasn't violence since the 2,000 resisters didn't fall for it. In LA however, there was violence. The cops today should've stepped in a lot earlier.
What is interesting is that historically the alt-right hates the government and the police.
