Japan is breaking more high temp records again this week.

Last week the country suffered through high temps of almost 40 C following massive floods from extremely heavy rain which killed hundreds. The extreme heat is even higher this weel 41C (106 F). Climate Change will be bringing extremes in weather. I am so relieved the tRump admin thinks it is a hoax (yeah, more coal!).

No specific analysis has been done to determine how climate change has affected this heat wave. But what we’re witnessing in Japan right now—the deaths, calls for ambulances, Japan’s famously on-time trains reportedly running slow because people are suffering from heatstroke—is exactly what climate change looks like. And if we don’t start to curb carbon emissions soon, it’s going to look a lot worse, and the poorest among us will suffer the most.
The all-time heat record in Japan is an outlier for the country, but it’s hardly alone this year. We’ve seen freakish heat waves in Greenland, Pakistan, the UK, Scandinavia, and North Africa. Something just isn’t right.

COMIC CON 2018 ReZisters

San Diego is hosting voter registration at the Comic Con for the first time with democracy-loving cultural celebrities at this year’s Comic-Con as it stages its 48th annual exposition of comics and related popular artforms in San Diego.

A team of more than fifty people has been recruited to register voters for the 2018 midterm elections inside and outside the San Diego Convention Center. Indie comic book publisher Matteo Pizzolo of Black Mask Studios has partnered with Indivisible to reach guests from all across the country using an app that facilitates online registration.

Using the theme “Voting Is My Superpower”, volunteers in T-shirts and capes are conducting what observers believe is the first time an organized drive has taken place within Comic-Con. The drive is nonpartisan.

An off-site panel discussion at Comickaze in Liberty Station (no badges required) on Saturday afternoon will explore the local impact of immigration policy, and real-life resistance in San Diego. The indie publisher will join Kathy Stadler of Indivisible, David Trujillo of the ACLU, and Yusef Miller with the Council on American-Islamic Relations for the panel..

Pizzolo is the author of CALEXIT, a dystopian political tale of a California rebellion after a second-term Trump administration orders the immediate deportation of all immigrants in the United States. A new edition of the sold-out comic is being released at Comic-Con featuring San Diegans playing a key role in the storyline.

Did you, or anyone you know, vote based on polling in 2016?

Polls were all over the place before the election and in the chaos Dem voters were convinced Hillary would win, despite all the neg press regarding tRump and the "pussy" tapes and Hillary's e-mails. Many people, including Obama (he admitted this himself) made choices and decisions based of this factor. I know of an older woman, teacher and lifelong Dem who wrote in "Bernie" (not even listening to Susan Sarandon) assuming Hillary was a shoe-in.

Are we going to allow the media to shape the midterms with their non stop polling again? How do we stop history from repeating itself? "Pee pee tape Putin" will be coming to the US right during the midterms and there will be more chaos with Manafort and the ongoing Mueller investigation. Are we prepared?

Glibness and Superficial Charm

Manipulative and Conning
They never recognize the rights of others and see their self-serving behaviors as permissible. They appear to be charming, yet are covertly hostile and domineering, seeing their victim as merely an instrument to be used. They may dominate and humiliate their victims.

Grandiose Sense of Self
Feels entitled to certain things as "their right."

Pathological Lying
Has no problem lying coolly and easily and it is almost impossible for them to be truthful on a consistent basis. Can create, and get caught up in, a complex belief about their own powers and abilities. Extremely convincing and even able to pass lie detector tests.

Lack of Remorse, Shame or Guilt
A deep seated rage, which is split off and repressed, is at their core. Does not see others around them as people, but only as targets and opportunities. Instead of friends, they have victims and accomplices who end up as victims. The end always justifies the means and they let nothing stand in their way.

Shallow Emotions
When they show what seems to be warmth, joy, love and compassion it is more feigned than experienced and serves an ulterior motive. Outraged by insignificant matters, yet remaining unmoved and cold by what would upset a normal person. Since they are not genuine, neither are their promises.

Living on the edge. Verbal outbursts and physical punishments are normal. Promiscuity and gambling are common.

Callousness/Lack of Empathy
Unable to empathize with the pain of their victims, having only contempt for others' feelings of distress and readily taking advantage of them.

Rage and abuse, alternating with small expressions of love and approval produce an addictive cycle for abuser and abused, as well as creating hopelessness in the victim. Believe they are all-powerful, all-knowing, entitled to every wish, no sense of personal boundaries, no concern for their impact on others.

Early Behavior Problems/Juvenile Delinquency
Usually has a history of behavioral and academic difficulties, yet "gets by" by conning others. Problems in making and keeping friends; aberrant behaviors such as cruelty to people or animals, stealing, etc.

Irresponsibility/Unreliability
Not concerned about wrecking others' lives and dreams. Oblivious or indifferent to the devastation they cause. Does not accept blame themselves, but blames others, even for acts they obviously committed.

Promiscuous Sexual Behavior/Infidelity
Promiscuity, child sexual abuse, rape and sexual acting out of all sorts.

Lack of Realistic Life Plan/Parasitic Lifestyle
Tends to move around a lot or makes all encompassing promises for the future, poor work ethic but exploits others effectively.

Changes their image as needed to avoid prosecution. Changes life story readily.

NOTE: In the 1830's this disorder was called "moral insanity." By 1900 it was changed to "psychopathic personality." More recently it has been termed "antisocial personality disorder" in the DSM-III and DSM-IV. Some critics have complained that, in the attempt to rely only on 'objective' criteria, the DSM has broadened the concept to include too many individuals. The APD category includes people who commit illegal, immoral or self-serving acts for a variety of reasons and are not necessarily psychopaths.

50 to 75 percent of the people diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder are male. Additionally, it is common for many adolescents to display the characteristics listed above; this does not indicate that they will later develop narcissistic personality disorder.

Causes
Causes of narcissistic personality disorder are not yet well-understood. Genetic and biological factors as well as environment and early life experiences are all thought to play a role in the development of this condition.

Treatments
Treatment for narcissistic personality disorder can be challenging because people with this condition present with a great deal of grandiosity and defensiveness, which makes it difficult for them to acknowledge problems and vulnerabilities. Individual and group psychotherapy may be useful in helping people with narcissistic personality disorder relate to others in a healthier and more compassionate way. Mentalization-based therapy, transference-focused psychotherapy, and schema-focused psychotherapy have all been suggested as effective ways of treating narcissistic personality disorder.

A common theme keeps cropping up from all sides: “Democrats failed to understand white, working-class, fly-over America.”

Trump supporters are saying this. Progressive pundits are saying this. Talking heads across all forms of the media are saying this. Even some Democratic leaders are saying this. It doesn’t matter how many people say it, it is complete BS. It is an intellectual/linguistic sleight of hand meant to draw attention away from the real problem. The real problem isn’t East Coast elites who don’t understand or care about rural America. The real problem is that rural Americans don’t understand the causes of their own situations and fears and they have shown no interest in finding out. They don’t want to know why they feel the way they do or why they are struggling because they don’t want to admit it is in large part because of the choices they’ve made and the horrible things they’ve allowed themselves to believe.

Question: Legally, can a govt official found guilty of TREASON

be punished via execution? I am not a constitutional lawyer and would like to know if this is still valid 2018. Also, does the title/position of the person found guilty of this crime effect the punishment according to the Constitution?

* I ask this due to the increasing possibility of sitting congress members being involved in these crimes, especially after the recent info exposed by the details of indictments such as the NRA Russian spy and her "boyfriend" and other emails.

Nixon would have served out his term if he were president now, and his crimes were not nearly as serious.
