Looks like Trump is getting ready to fire Esper

https://twitter.com/paulrieckhoff/status/1294769892261089280?s=21

Even Trump is now calling @EsperDoD #Yesper. And Trump is now further humiliating Esper, for humiliating himself for Trump. This entire administration is a disgusting circular firing squad.

Trump requires people to bend the knee to him but when they do, he treats them with contempt and humiliates them for being a toady. He is one messed up sonofabitch.

Trump's going to declare victory in states based on in person voting results

then sue to block and invalidate mail in ballots based on fraud. He’s already assembled a team of lawyers and it’s why he’s saying he can win NY( still don’t think it’s possible)What a gigantic shitshow this is going to be.

Edit to add: we will prevail but it’s gonna be a damn mess.

Sen. Rubio tells a secret: After giving a tax cut to the rich, GOP will cut SS and Medicare

Advocates for seniors and the middle class have been warning for weeks that the Republican drive to cut taxes for the wealthy is the prelude to a larger attack on Social Security and Medicare.

In a videotaped interview with two Politico reporters Wednesday, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) said the quiet parts out loud. Asked by interviewers Anna Palmer and Jake Sherman how to address the federal deficit, he replied: “We have to do two things. We have to generate economic growth which generates revenue, while reducing spending. That will mean instituting structural changes to Social Security and Medicare for the future.”

The only thing that’s new here is the explicit admission by a Republican officeholder that this is the GOP’s master plan to eviscerate the welfare and retirement of American workers. Budget analysts have seen it coming with all the subtlety of a freight train. As we reported earlier this month, the damage begins with the so-called Paygo law (for “pay as you go”), which requires Congress to offset any increase in the federal deficit with spending cuts. The law limits Medicare cuts to 4% of its budget per year, or $25 billion of its $625-billion budget. Because the tax cut proposals the Senate was preparing to vote on late Friday would expand the deficit by about $1.5 trillion over 10 years, it’s likely to trigger the cuts.

First off, get rid of the pay go law. Their strategy is nothing new. They've been saying this crap forever.

"My buddy in NC, a registered Democrat, just got this in the mail"

https://twitter.com/oneunderscore__/status/1294367640715169793

This North Carolina Trump Victory mailer telling people to request a ballot in the mail blurs out the second half of Trump's tweet, which in part reads "Bad things happen with Mail-Ins."

Republicans are getting these as well. Why tell the voters in your party to request mail in ballots and then try to sabotage them?

Entertaining interview w/ Dem Hank Gilbert , who's running against Louie Gohmert on The New Abnormal

Gilbert describes a scene from a rally/protest he held in the town square of (Tyler, TX, I think). Gohmert had paid armed thugs from the 3% militia group there to disrupt the rally.

They also interview the amazing Lauren Underwood, the Dem who won Illinois' 14th Congressional District

"After 3 1/2 years do you regret all the lying you've done to the people?"

Asked by S.V. Date , White House correspondent at HuffPo

We need more of this.

Trump just reiterated twice that he's getting rid of the payroll tax permanently if re-elected.

It's code for ending Social Security. Even if his Presidency wasn't a complete shitshow, this would spell his doom. His political instincts are crap. Even Republicans know you don't say this during an election year.
