Presidential Debate Reaffirms Clinton as Choice for Working Families Sec. Hillary Clinton
http://www.afscme.org/blog/presidential-debate-reaffirms-clinton-as-choice-for-working-families
Working families across the country tuned in to watch last nights presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, and what they saw should reaffirm their choice of Hillary Clinton for President of the United States.
In her answers, Secretary Clinton shared a vision for our country that is aligned with the values, hopes and economic interests of American middle class families. She would make the wealthiest in our nation pay their fair share of taxes to invest in the future of our communities; she would make college education more affordable and alleviate the burden of student loan debt; she would raise the federal minimum wage and add protections for workers who have no paid sick days or parental leave.
The central question in this election is really what kind of country we want to be and what kind of future we'll build together, she said. Today is my granddaughter's second birthday, so I think about this a lot. First, we have to build an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top. That means we need new jobs, good jobs, with rising incomes.
Trump, by contrast, would give the very rich a tax break, promoting a failed theory that when the rich get richer the rest of us somehow benefit as well. Called trickle-down economics, its a failed theory that has contributed to income inequality over the past three decades.
I don't think top-down works in America, Secretary Clinton said. I think building the middle class, investing in the middle class, making college debt-free so more young people can get their education, helping people refinance their debt from college at a lower rate. Those are the kinds of things that will really boost the economy. Broad-based, inclusive growth is what we need in America, not more advantages for people at the very top..............................

The debate is over Trump just cant lead
Wednesday, September 28, 2016
In his own garbled rhetoric, his flustered, rambling responses, and his nervous, defensive posture, Republican Donald J. Trump provided plenty of unsettling evidence at Mondays nights first presidential debate for a voter to decide to reject his bid to be President of the United States.
To those who watched Trumps 90-minute face off with Democratic rival, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, it should be frighteningly clear that a man who is so quickly rattled when confronted one-on-one on a national stage should never be in the White House Situation Room during a time of crisis. Each time he leaned into the microphone to interrupt Clinton, or shouted over her, or turned to the debate moderator for help, it underscored that the thin-skinned Republican candidate is ill-prepared, unfit and dangerously undisciplined. He is what he is a real estate mogul and a reality TV star, who, when it came to the real reality of the presidential spotlight, unraveled.
................................................
This was not a debate to sway the entrenched camps on either side. Those bases of support for Clinton and Trump are set. We are concerned with those who remain undecided, and those who are leaning one way or another. The choice should become clearer now. We appeal to a sense of civic duty in those who are saying they will sit this election out, or worse yet, vote for a no-win third party candidate. With all due respect, there is too much at stake in this election for our families and our children. Make a choice.
......................................
Perhaps what was most telling Monday night was the way Trump the self-anointed businessman extraordinaire steamed when Clinton needled him about a refusal to disclose his income tax returns does that mean hes not as rich as he says he is, or that he hasnt paid federal income taxes? Does that make him smart as he claimed? Are all Americans who pay their fair share of taxes every year being taken for a ride?...................

Sean Hannity has been citing unscientific online polls in order to prove that Donald Trump won the debate against Hillary Clinton. In fact, those polls were rigged/freeped by conservatives. A Fox News memo from an executive, called out Hannity and others who have touted the bullshit polls.
..............................
..........Sean Hannity, who has been humping Trumps leg since his campaign began, has continuously tried to alter reality so that his candidate looks triumphant.
Youve got this list of polls, Donald Trump wins, he said during a segment. You watch TV, Hillary Clinton wins.
Brian Kilmeade, a host of Fox & Friends, also referred to the unscientific polls
The online polls show you guys won in overwhelming margins, he said. Later, Trump thanked the host on Twitter for his comment......................
