The leadership now for the modern conservative movement for the next 20 years will be coming out of the House and the Senate.

Pick a Republican with enough working digits to handle a pen to become president of the United States. This is a change for Republicans: the House and Senate doing the work with the president signing bills. His job is to be captain of the team, to sign the legislation that has already been prepared.

That is the ALEC model, legislation written for private interests drawing on the public purse to privatize all functions that affect humans and the environment on a spread sheet of profits and losses for business. If this team gets in, your input into government, your vote, your rights and freedoms will be gone. There will be no need for a democratic government. That is the goal, often stated. There will be no one to stand in the way of the dismantling of the USA and installing a fascist economic system demanding that you fall into line. Your civil and property rights will be meaningless.

As of August 3rd, here's where the Feds are:

Federal Judge Allows Military Groups To Intervene In Voting Rights Lawsuit |

U.S. District Judge Peter C. Economus granted a motion on Monday allowing 15 military groups to intervene in the Obama campaign’s early voting lawsuit, which seeks to restore the ability of all Ohio voters to vote in-person during the three day period leading up to election day.

While Ohio has allowed early voting through this period since 2005, the state legislature restricted early voting this year exclusively to members of the military and their families. Mitt Romney’s campaign falsely smeared the lawsuit, claiming that Obama is trying to take away voting rights rather than restore them. The Obama campaign supported the military groups’ request to intervene.

It's really the same case, disenfranchising military along with those in the state. They are going to let this group take the credit or make the case, and I'm guessing they will give them all the help they can to strike down the law. What do you think is going on?

Well, Newt had his Moon colony; they claim Obama's been to Mars; but no one ever asks Mittens.

He really won't speak about himself anymore, it seems, after having slipped on his bullying and Gordon Gecko moments.

If you ask him about his taxes, he lies or claims you're being mean to him. If you talk about his money hidden overseas, he lies or says it just shows how smart he is. If you mention his wife and the horse incidents, you're just jealous.

But no one, out of good taste, dares to bring up his religion. And you'll note he doesn't talk to the lowly press, he's doing a Nixon, Reagan and Bush on them.

The only time I can Mittens answering a question will be when or if he debates with Obama. But the POTUS has already cut back on the space program somewhat. And I've never heard Mitt the Twit mention space.

And he can say that Kolob is not a real place, but a spiritual symbol for when he's gonna rule the world.. OOPS, he won't say that. Nasty first amendment, if you ask him, he'll say you're bullying him. I don't think he'll get caught that way, and it might not be nice, anyway.

Fascist just simply means a shadow government.

That shadow government is obviously hidden because those behind it know its not popular and since they dont have complete control over a nation they choose to remain hidden.

The reason its not popular is because it infringes on freedom and liberty and therefore it falls into the category of "the left", i.e. socialism, communism, etc.

Since the Koch Bros. are capitalists, you cant hardly call them fascists (and be credible at least).

I feel like we're living in an RL version of The Neverending Story, a children's movie.

The majority of the story takes place in Fantastica... a world being destroyed by the Nothing, which represents and constitutes people's lack of imagination in the real world.

The first protagonist is a young warrior, who is asked by the Steward of The Empress of Fantastica, to set off and find a way to stop The Nothing...

Fantastica is a representation of the dreams and fantasies of the real world; the Nothing and the sickness of the Childlike Empress are the effects of the lies humans use in their greed for power; it is the denial of dreams and fantasy which is destroying Fantastica.

My kid liked this story because of being bullied at school, and the boy hiding out from his tormentors in an attic entered into the book, which was a window into a paralled reality. But despite the characters and the fantasy setting, it was to me, a very terrifying film. Everything that was loved and precious was being sucked away, the very ground under their feet gone. It was a metaphor for what I see the Republicans doing.

The Nothing reminded me of Republicans and their dead reality, full of greed and hatred, love of death and power, denying and destroying the creativity and dreams of Americans and people around the world.

Martin Luther King claimed that America was not a place as much as it is an ideal of what could be... in other words, a place where people could move forward to a better world, never complete, but working toward that which is the way we felt back in those days before decades of Republican rule.

When human rights were being expanded and there was a reverence for the environment that gives us life was being respected. Their desire to profit no matter who or what they destroyed was being pushed back as a form of insanity. They have almost strangled this out of us and mock us for wanting to remake this country into something better.

So the Nothing has expanded to MA and other places where it was previously fought back.

The state I grew up in put up signs asking people to 'DRIVE FRIENDLY' after more than a couple of people grabbed their guns in their cars and shot dead other drivers for tail gating, honking, or just shooting them the bird.
