Haha, made you look. No, it's Apocalyptica:'Und Now Vee Vill Punish You.'
That's a party.
That's telling ya.
Now that's better.
And now, for something mellow.
Hope you enjoyed it.

(53,661 posts)I wonder if it's too late to learn, but I have a friend in Cardiff who is 77 years old and taking up guitar.
I looked up cellos online after listening to these tonight, especially the last one. My guess is that the main man there is playing a cello, but I'm no musician.
I'll bet someone here knows, though. Glad you enjoyed it.

(53,661 posts)I love any chance to listen to those on youtube. And the chorals in the UK and some of the other European music. They've done great keeping that going. I think that music has been undervalued in some public school districts for a long time.
I fell in love with Andrea Bocelli singing afterhis NYC Statue of Liberty concert. Apocalyptica bridged the gap for me with the string music. A friend in Norway who's into black metal turned me onto them although I' m not interested in metal. But these guys rock!

(36,418 posts)A lot of the best riffs of '70s Progressive Rock and Fusion were lifted from the madrigals and chamber music of the 16th and 17th Centuries. I still hear it in contemporary music.
