Just got done watching and thought it was a pretty good thriller. It is an 8-parter and keeps the action and suspense up throughout. Not particularly deep or psychological, but just a good action/thriller.

A Newark, N.J., high school principal is going the extra mile to support his students who are being bullied—and the community is embracing his actions.
Akbar Cook, principal of the city’s West Side High School, has installed a laundry room for students that he says were being teased and chastised because they were showing up to school in dirty school uniforms. Some of these students were becoming chronic absentees—missing three to five days of school per month—out of shame, Cook told ABC 7 Eyewitness News.
Cook shared this situation with the MCJ Amelior Foundation, which has adopted the school and pays for some of its programs. The PSEG Foundation was present during that conversation and provided a $20,000 grant to pay for the five washing machines and five dryers, as well as renovation advice, NJ.com reported.
The community has responded with vigor, donating laundry detergents and dryer sheets so that students facing challenges can do their laundry at school for free.

Trump Presses Supreme Court Chief Justice For Action On Russia Dossier

WASHINGTON, Aug 29 (Reuters) - President Donald Trump said on Wednesday the U.S. Supreme Court chief justice should tell the head of a national security court to question FBI and Justice Department officials about their use of a so-called Russia dossier as part of a collusion probe.
Trump singled out Justice Department official Bruce Ohr in a message on Twitter apparently quoting a Fox News analyst. Ohr is linked to the dossier of allegations of possible collusion between Trump’s campaign and Russia.
The dossier was compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele in work partly financed by the Democratic National Committee (DNC). Republican critics of the dossier have focused heavily on its DNC ties and U.S. surveillance of Trump associates.

So now Trump figures the Chief Justice of SCOTUS works for him and Trump can tell the Chief Justice to order lower court justices to do what Trump wants them to do.

It’s hard to imagine how life could get much worse for Republicans in advance of the 2108 midterm elections, but we here at DC Tribune think we might know of one, and it comes from the same source that’s been the scourge of the Trump administration since May 17th, 2017: The Robert Mueller Special Counsel investigation.
And honestly, what could possibly be worse news for the GOP than to find out that one or more of their leaders were being focused on as part of that investigation?
We already know almost as a matter of course that Mueller is looking into statements made in private between members of the House GOP leadership, joking about fellow Republicans and even the President being on Vladimir Putin’s payroll. That’s not the type of discussion that doesn’t make it into a final report about who knew what and when.
Unfortunately for him, it looks like Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell may have known enough in advance to warrant a thorough investigation by Mueller’s team over what looks like at the very least some obstruction of justice charges of his own. Questions that Mueller would likely want answers to[.]

I've thought for a long time that Mueller should be investigating members of Congress as well as tRump & Co. There are just too many GOPers wandering around ignoring Treason for it just to be Politics as usual.
Note: I don't know how reliable a source this paper is, but I certainly wouldn't be surprised if Mueller were investigating McConnell, Ryan, Nunes, and others.

You remember Hillary with the coal, right, sitting with the miners at the table? Remember? That wasn’t so good for her. So the people of West Virginia and all over, you look at Wyoming, you look at so many different places where they just, Pennsylvania, where they loved what we did, and it’s clean coal and we have the most modern procedures. But it’s a tremendous form of energy in the sense that in a military way — think of it — coal is indestructible.”
“You can blow up a pipeline, you can blow up the windmills. You know, the windmills, boom, boom, boom [mimicking windmill sound] bing [mimes shooting large gun], that’s the end of that one. If the birds don’t kill it first. The birds could kill it first. They kill so many birds. You look underneath some of those windmills, it’s like a killing field, the birds. But you know, that’s what they were going to, they were going to windmills. And you know, don’t worry about — when the wind doesn’t blow, I said, ‘What happens when the wind doesn’t blow?’ ‘Well, then we have a problem.’
“Okay, good. They were putting them in areas where they didn’t have much wind, too. And it’s a subs — you need subsidy for windmills. You need subsidy. Who wants to have energy where you need subsidy? So, uh, the coal is doing great.”
I wasn't sure I believed this when I ran across it on Facebook, but I checked and the above was printed in WaPo, trying to decipher the indecipherable. Sure sounds like a person not in complete possession of his faculties. Full article at:

I was on the receiving end of a good news story.
We live in community that is about 50/50 Dem/Repub and at least a few Trumpsters. (One guy up the street has an Infowars bumper sticker.) My neighbors on the left is GOP, used to fly the stars and bars but has since switched to the stars and stripes and are older than us. We get along great The neighbors on the right are a young couple smoke a LOT of grass. I have no idea what their politics are if the have any at all. We wave to each other as we pass, we pet each other's dogs, but that's about it. They are in their 20's and we are in our 70's. And so the neighborhood goes. (One thing I really love is that a large majority have dogs, so no one complains about our 5 dogs.)
One of the irritating things about getting old is that your body's thermostat doesn't function as well as it used to. My temp comfort zone has gotten much smaller and I just can't take the heat the way I used to. And this summer has been hot and humid. The only time I can mow the yard is in the evening when most of the yard is in shade and the temp has dropped to the low 80's or lower. Lately that's when the thunder storms have rolled in and our grass was getting really tall. So yesterday I decided to bide the bullet and get the lawn mowed. Our lawn mower is old and tired and usually take 20-30 pulls to start. So - here I am, trying to get the damn thing started when our young neighbor saunters over and offers to help me mow! He recognized that mowing is getting more and more difficult for me and just came over, brought his mower, and helped.

I finally figured out why tRump want a Space Force.
Someone told him the truth about Roswell and Area 51 and that we are being overrun by Aliens from space. He wants the Space Force so we can build a wall around Earth and get the Aliens to pay for it!
