Dorothy was thrown to the curb when she was sick and pregnant, but she found her way to Oz and developed a second family among its citizens.
That might not be exactly how the classic book and technicolor movie went, but it is the story of a cat who was rescued and is living in a foster home in British Columbia with her newborn kittens and you can watch them grow up via livestream.

The 31-year-old Hardin is accused of striking a teenage boy in the face with his closed fist Jan. 22 after he saw the student cut in line at the cafeteria of Olmstead Academy North.
He then cited the boy for menacing and resisting arrest, which police said Hardin had no probable cause to do.
Hardin was accused five days later of putting another teen in a chokehold until he lost consciousness and then handcuffed the boy instead of seeking medical treatment.
The officer drove the teen home and dropped him off without telling the boys parents what had happened.
Doctors determined this week that the boy had suffered a brain injury due to loss of blood flow during the incident, and they said the officers actions could have killed the teen.

Three-person baby debate begins in Parliament
Source: BBC
MPs have begun debating whether to allow the creation of babies using DNA from three people.
Prime Minister David Cameron said he would vote in favour of the technique which is aimed at preventing deadly genetic diseases.
The UK could become the first country to introduce laws to allow the creation of babies from three people.
The issue has sparked fierce ethical debate and senior Church figures have called for the procedure to be blocked.
However, if there is a "yes" vote in the Commons, then the first three-person baby could be born as soon as next year. It could eventually help about 150 couples a year.

A long time ago, in a decade far, far away, parents knew the importance of immunizing their children, and doctors were the guardians of health in America. Before the dark times. Before Jenny McCarthy.
Given the recent outbreak of measles at Disneyland a disease that was considered all but eradicated in 2000 it's ironic to discover that a couple of characters now owned by Disney were involved in the pro-vaccine movement as early as 1977. Namely, R2-D2 and C-3PO.
The metal pair warned Earthlings to get vaccinated "against polio, measles and whooping cough" in the TV ad above, which urged parents to write to a PO Box in Colorado to find out more. (Remember when parents used to write letters, too?)
"All you need is a little rewiring," Threepio tells his little hypochondriac trashcan pal. "Children need to be fully immunized, but alas, many are not."
