Erdogan complains that he cannot understand what Trump really wants anymore:

Erdoğan asked Trump whether he would negotiate with ISIS. “Trump told me he would, if it is necessary”

So Trump basically told Erdogan that he would negotiate with terrorists.

Erdogan complains that he cannot understand what Trump really wants anymore:

“We can no longer follow Trump’s tweets. We cannot track them. There is a stark change in his stance compared to last night”

Why Trump's Tweets Aren't Going Anywhere

Some tweets that violate Twitter’s normal rules will stay on the site, according to the company's newly articulated policy.

Twitter will allow world leaders to post tweets that violate its terms of service, but will enforce new rules about sharing those tweets, the company announced Tuesday.

Twitter has previously come under fire for allowing politicians to post racist content or target individual people. Earlier this month, Sen. Kamala Harris called on Twitter to suspend President Donald Trump for tweets that specifically targeted a whistle-blower, in what Harris claimed was a violation of Twitter’s terms of service. Twitter did not suspend Trump—nor will it take action against other world leaders, according to a new company blog post. Instead, if Twitter decides a politician’s tweet broke the rules, it will leave it on the site, accompanied by a disclaimer.

“If a Tweet from a world leader does violate the Twitter Rules but there is a clear public interest value to keeping the Tweet on the service, we may place it behind a notice that provides context about the violation and allows people to click through should they wish to see the content,” Twitter’s announcement reads.

Twitter first hinted at the new policy in June, but did not unveil the plan’s specifics. The site will still bar leaders from promoting terrorism, making “clear and direct threats of violence against an individual,” posting a person’s private information, revenge porn, encouraging self-harm, or engaging in child sexual exploitation (which is illegal).

Twitter also announced a new policy for interacting with politicians’ tweets that break the site rules.

“We haven’t used this notice yet, but when we do, you will not be able to like, reply, share, or Retweet the Tweet in question,” the company tweeted.

Curiously, users will be able to quote-tweet the offending messages.

“You will still be able to express your opinion with Retweet with Comment,” Twitter continued.

Lara Trump Says the Average American Had to Google 'Who Are the Kurds' Before Getting Outraged

Senior 2020 campaign adviser Lara Trump said average Americans had to "Google" who the Kurds of northern Syria even are before they could be outraged about President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw troops from the region.

Trump, who is married to the president's younger son, Eric Trump, defended her father-in-law's decision to withdraw U.S. troops near the Turkish border in a move many have described as an abandonment of Kurdish allies. More than 440 Kurdish fighters have been killed since the pullout last week, but Lara Trump said such losses should be put in context because regular Americans would have no idea who the Kurds or why the U.S. has been involved in the northern Syrian region since 2015. (Relevant video portion begins at 3:00 mark).

Speaking with Trump Monday, Fox News at Night host Shannon Bream asked the president's daughter-in-law to react to a New York Times story, "Trump Followed His Gut on Syria, Calamity Came Fast," which went on to describe how the decision to abandon the Kurds lended an "unanticipated victory to four American adversaries: Russia, Rian, the Syrian government and the Islamic State."

"Well, Shannon, I think we should start with the fact that if you ask the average American out there, I think they would have to Google 'Who are the Kurds, and why is America even over there fighting this war?'" Trump responded.

Three Nursing Home Workers Were Arrested For Allegedly Running A Fight Club Of Dementia Patients

Three workers at a North Carolina assisted living home have been arrested following allegations that they were running a fight club-style operation made up of elderly dementia patients.

Tonacia Yvonne Tyson, 20, Taneshia Deshawn Jordan, 26, and Marilyn Latish McKey, 32, were arrested on assault charges earlier this month, a spokesperson for the Winston-Salem Police Department told BuzzFeed News.

The elder care facility, called Danby House, specializes in caring for Alzheimer's patients, according to their website.

Police said the three Danby House employees were allegedly encouraging the residents to physically fight each other. In at least one case, one of the employees allegedly assaulted a resident by shoving them.

The workers also allegedly filmed the fights and egged the residents on, police told BuzzFeed News.

...

In video footage of the fight between the two residents, one of the elderly women can be seen falling on a bed and yelling “let go, help me, help me, let go" as the other woman in the fight continues to hit her, according to the Winston-Salem Journal.

One or more of the workers can reportedly be heard saying “punch her in the face" and “stop screaming, (expletive)" in the video. Another reportedly asked if someone was filming the fight and if the video could be sent to her.

One of the elderly women reportedly choked the other, causing one of the workers to say “you’re making her turn red." The workers allegedly did not intervene.

In an interview with police, one of the arrested women reportedly said the woman who was pushed and choked in the fight was a “pain the butt" and that's why they filmed it.

FBI officials were 'rattled' and 'blindsided' by Trump's call for Ukraine to manufacture dirt on Joe

Three years ago, the FBI launched an unprecedented investigation focused on one question: Did President Donald Trump's campaign help a foreign power interfere in the 2016 election?

Now, just months after that investigation was formally closed, FBI officials are stunned the president is openly calling for another country to intervene in another presidential election.

One special agent, who spoke with Insider on the condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to speak to the press, said officials were "rattled" not just by the nature of Trump's actions but also by his brazenness.

"You walk down the halls and there was this sense of dread, and everyone's kind of thinking, did the president really do this?" the agent said.

The agent was one of four current and former officials Insider spoke with about the matter. In addition to feeling undermined by the Justice Department's ongoing investigation into the Russia probe's origins, sources also said FBI officials were frustrated with how the Justice Department handled a criminal referral related to a whistleblower's allegations against Trump, saying it added to a sense that the bureau was being "neutered."

At the heart of the controversy are Trump's repeated efforts to pressure Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son. Biden is one of the 2020 Democratic front-runners and Trump's chief political rival.

It is kind of shocking that FBI agents are surprised by his behavior. Kind of scary, too.
