The American media is challenged about how to balance the coverage between Democrats and Republicans

Until now, they have succeeded to some degree. However, both sides have accused the other of getting the most favorable press treatment. Conservatives created a descriptive phrase they called "liberal media" to prove that the media favored the liberals. The liberals countered that the media reported what their corporate masters wanted them to report. Otherwise, they would not have a job.

Still, the political system endured with the manufactured "balance" that the media used to persuade Americans they were attempting to be as fair as possible.

But now, a Third Party has come into the picture - the MAGA Republicans. They are not Republicans and they are certainly not Democrats. They are independent extremists that have attached themselves to the Republican Party. Republicans have mostly accepted them because they would be a weak semblance of themselves without them.

So the media is now challenged to strike some sort of balance between three Parties - the Dems, the Repubs, and the MAGAs.

If they were doing their job more fairly, they would not report on the MAGA as Republicans but as an extremist group that has successfully taken over the Republican political machine. They would report on the Democrats and Republicans as they have done in the past, with all their perceived inequalities.

They cannot give the "Big Lie" equal time because it is part of the Republican Party. They cannot excuse the attack upon our Capitol because it was done by "Republicans". They cannot accept the threat of stealing our national secrets because it was done by a former Republican President. He was never a Republican. He has always been an extremist and a MAGA Party Leader, who used the Republican Party as a means to gain control.

In my opinion, the media should report on the two major Parties as they did in the past but they should report on MAGA as a Third Party extremist group, bent on insurrection and destroying democracy. The media needs to divorce the MAGAs from the Republican Party, in my opinion.

You Can't Fix Stupid

"They threw those Top Secret documents on floor to make it look like I did it....Like I'm a slob or something....People come into my office....they see I'm a neat person..."

"I had those sensitive documents in my closet, neatly organized with my copies of TIME magazine, and they broke into my house and my office and ransacked the place. They took those documents that I rightfully stole from the US Government and scattered them all over the floor just to make me look bad."

---------------

How can you call anyone that believes this shit anything but "stupid"? And if they are that stupid, they do not realize that they are endangering the rest of us by believing such crap.

It needs to be repeated.

They were not his documents. By law, they belonged to the National Archives and the American people.

He stole them.

It is not a trivial matter. It is not an over-due library book. They were top-secret documents that could threaten the security of our country.

They were not his and he could not wave a magic wand and "de-classify" them. There is a process that must happen. It is required. Otherwise, it would be like a fart in a windstorm.

It is an act of espionage, either knowingly or unknowingly.

None of his adolescent bullshit will change those facts.

What an indictment would mean to MAGA world?

Many in the MAGA world believe that if Donald Trump was guilty of anything, he would have been indicted or arrested. Since that has not happened, they tend to believe it is all just a political attack on their hero, their Leader, by the Democrats and the "fake news". That is what they have been programmed to believe.

If he was indicted, it would cause a stir in MAGA world, no doubt. Some would be angry. Some would be confused. If the FBI has indicted him, then there must be something there, some will rationalize. An indictment will change the way the Republican Party, as a whole, looks at Donald Trump. He would no longer be granted the assumption that he did nothing wrong. There must be something there?

The impact of an indictment would be beneficial to the longer-term politics of this country, in my opinion. When someone is charged with a crime, people tend to take a second look. With the MAGA world, it may be only a glance, but it will create a change in the status quo.

Power To The People

September 4, 2022

If the case goes all the way to the Supreme Court...?

Do they rule in favor of Donald J Trump?

Or do they rule in favor of the United States of America?

Does the ex-president have the same executive powers as the present "Executive"?

Does an ex-president have the authority to abscond with the most secret of America's secrets and store them in various places at his home or club?

If the Supreme Court is unable to answer that simple question, then we will need a new Supreme Court.

The DoJ simply needs to ignore the PT Barnum malarkey and follow the facts and the law.

And I'm certain that is what they are doing. He will not be treated like a former president because he does not deserve to be treated like a former president. He should be treated like a civilian that refused to turn over the secret documents that did not belong to him. Perhaps it needs to be repeated? They did not belong to him. They belong to the people of the United States of America. You know, the deep state.

Now that the former president is concentrated on his espionage case...

Perhaps it is time to charge him for his crimes in the January 6th attack upon our Capitol?

Keep him off guard.

Charge him with seditious conspiracy and obstruction of a political procedure, namely the counting of the Electoral votes.

Trump was hoarding documents for four years and nobody said or did anything about it.

Did they really think he was going to turn them over to the National Archives on his last day?

Several people had to know he was taking the documents and not returning them. The White House Counsel, Pat Cipollone, must have surely known. So would have the Archivist that kept a record of all the files that were checked out and went to the Oval Office. Also, the Chief of Staff would likely have known.

One would think that John Kelly and Bill Barr, in their previous positions, would also have known, as would have any previous Chiefs of Staff and the people that checked out the documents.

With the empty folders that were marked to be returned to Staff Secretary/Military Aide, someone would have known if they had not been returned, one would think?

There are a lot of players in this espionage plot, willing or unwilling, that have not yet been identified, in my opinion.

If you were Donald Trump, where would you hide any remaining documents you might have?

Since he doesn't trust anyone, it would have to be somewhere close to him so he could control the situation.

First guess would be the Bedminster Golf Club or the Trump Tower.

If he was going to hide the documents in either of those places, it might be in the living quarters of Melania. He doesn't believe they would get a search warrant for her place. But that is the most likely place any documents missing would be hidden, in my opinion.

I suspect if nothing is resolved in the next few days about the "missing documents" from the empty folders, there may be another search warrant ready to go?
