Not for the Insurrection of January 6th, but for the attempted overthrow of an election and the recent 6-point document out-lining how they were going to do it?
Does this not merit an investigation?
The plate of the Select Committee is already full.

They made America sick. They made America divided. They made America stupid.
They made America less. Less of everything that matters in this world.
Their lies will never whitewash their misdeeds and inhumane actions.
They attacked our democracy. They promoted magic potions for a world-wide pandemic. They turned Americans against each other. They coddled our enemies and bad-mouthed our allies.
They did not make America great.
They made America worse.
The truth hurts.

It's not about politics - it's about human decency.
We strive to not be too judgemental.
Some things are simply inhumane and indecent. They care not for others. There is no empathy.
Power is their strongest desire.
They do not know truth from lie.
Or they do know and they do not care?
It's about caring for our fellow man. (Why should we wear a mask?)
It's about humanity.
Is the "Big Lie" the best term to use to describe what happened in last election?
It doesn't seem to be very effective.
I'm not sure it describes what happened?
It was more than a "Big Lie". It was seditious and treasonous.
It would be hard to find a Republican anywhere who would say, "Yes, we were lied to. We were deceived. It was all a Big Lie. We were manipulated and used by the Party." They simply cannot admit what happened. It is political denial of the highest order.
Good Democrats and Good Republicans have to work together.
To save this country.
I cannot buy the theory that only Democrats are good and all Republicans are bad. I think most people believe that it is a fallacy to hold such beliefs.
The times are too critical for the nation to not be united.
We know the natural inclination is to say that there are no good Republicans. That it is impossible to work with any of them. They are evil.
Someone should try.
The Department of Justice could alleviate a lot of the ill feelings in the different tribes, in my opinion, by appointing a team of Special Prosecutors to get to the entire truth about what happened during the Trump Administration, especially on and before January 6th of this year. ( Although we know enough already about all the sleazy lawlessness that went on.) Perhaps a team of investigators could release a little steam from the political temperature ?
A lot of the political rhetoric needs to be drowned with a bucket of water. The political Parties are becoming just like George Washington warned us about. It has become impossible for them to work together for the benefit of this country.
Just my opinion.

There is only one headline that will change the Republican Party.
Republicans Are Dying At Much Faster Rate Than DemocratsWhen they see that their voters are dying and they may lose seats in Congress because of it, they will change. Until that happens, they will probably remain where they are today?
That is a sad thought to think - that only massive death will change their deceitful and manipulative policies, but that appears to be where they are today.
Their arrogance and hypocrisy know no bounds. The only thing they care about is power and if that is taken from them, they will change. They cannot be rewarded in the next election. They must be defeated, in order for them to open their eyes to reality.
Until then, we will likely stay in this political purgatory.
