Why Trump and Rudy are so interested in "Crowdstrike's" server??

They have heard all the conspiracy theories about how CrowdStrike helped Hillary in the last election,

The better bet is that they want to recruit Crowdstrike to help Trump campaign in the next election,

They see Crowdstrike as the new Wikileaks.

They want a replay of the 2016 election,

The Trump White House has had three years to investigate corruption in Ukraine.

Why did it become such an important issue just this week?

Corruption in Ukraine was not something Donald Trump was deeply concerned about until he got caught trying to make a deal with the taxpayers money.

Trump and Rudy are masters of distraction.

Everyone needs to keep their eye on the ball.

Democrats and Impeachment

"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice.... won't get fooled again." GWB

Donald Trump and the Republicans are running around like chickens with their heads cut off. We hear reports there is "total panic" in the White House. And there hasn't even been an impeachment vote yet?

Nancy Pelosi has the patience of Job. She is in no hurry to rush into impeachment, in my opinion. But, she has put Trump and the Republicans on notice. We will impeach if necessary.

Also, there is no time limit to impeach. That is a wishful myth propagated by the Republicans. They should dispense with those thoughts immediately.

The whistleblower opened a door for the Democrats to investigate. They have a duty to investigate every charge of wrong-doing. There is a much more serious tone in the White House and in the Senate since Nancy started the formal impeachment inquiry. (Some say she has to have the full vote of Congress to begin an inquiry? I don't think that to be the case. She is the Speaker of the House.)

If the White House continues to stonewall and to defy subpoenas, the Congress will have no choice but to impeach. According to the White House, the Congress has no right to talk to anybody or to see anything? No oversight permitted.

Contempt for Congress cannot continue to be the norm.

What happens if the Democrats don't impeach?

I suppose the White House might be a little more guarded in their interactions with foreign countries, especially those where Trump has business ventures? There are a lot of secrets in countries such as Russia, Saudi Arabia, Ukraine, and a few other lesser-knowns.

Also, if we go thru election day and Trump loses, there are no federal charges against him and there is no need for a pardon. It is very likely that he will face a very rocky legal path once he is out of office?

There are pluses for the Democrats if they don't impeach, but can our nation wait that long for a course correction? These are very unpredictable times.

What happens if they do impeach??

There will be some divisions within the Republican Party. Many of them do not really care for Mr Trump as a person. But they like the way he leads their ideology. It could be a much closer vote in the Senate than people presently realize?

But, for the second time, this "presidential twitter" has worked with foreign leaders to weaken our election system and our democracy. The Democrats have a very strong argument to make.

If the Republicans vote to not convict, they understand the gamble they take that something else won't come up between now and election day? That could wreck all their political races.

Most likely, the Democrats will investigate up until about Thanksgiving? Then they will make their decision. To impeach or not impeach?

Are These Trump Calls to Putin and MBS on the Secret Server Too?

https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2019/9/27/1888324/-Are-These-Trump-Calls-to-Putin-and-MBS-on-the-Secret-Server-Too

<snip>
The intelligence whistleblower states that White House lawyers moved the transcript of Trump’s phone call to Zelensky to a stand alone secret server in the White House. This was done as part of the coverup. But the whistleblower also states that this is NOT the only time this abuse of intelligence classification was done. There are other Trump phone calls to world leaders on that secret server. And here are just a few of the phone calls that Trump made in 2019:

On May 4th, Trump initiated a 1.5 hour phone call with Putin.

President Donald Trump initiated a lengthy call with his Russian counterpart on Friday, in which Vladimir Putin urged sanctions relief for North Korea and warned against interference in Venezuela, the Russian embassy in Washington said.

The leaders’ call lasted for 1.5 hours, according to a post on the embassy’s Facebook page, and the pair discussed a “shared commitment to step up dialogue in various areas, including on issues of strategic stability.” White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Friday the leaders spoke for more than an hour.

....We discussed Trade, Venezuela, Ukraine, North Korea, Nuclear Arms Control and even the “Russian Hoax.” Very productive talk!

For months and months, we heard, "No collusion! No collusion!"

Then one day after the Mueller investigation closed, we discover that he was colluding with the president of the Ukraine!

It now appears that Robert Mueller was wrong to NOT say in his report that there was collusion between Trump campaign and Russia.

Now he is caught red-handed colluding again with a foreign country and he confessed to it. It is safe to say that he has been colluding with foreign governments since his first day in office.

It is noteworthy that we have not been entertained with chants of "No collusion! No collusion!" this time around.

The people will not be fooled again.

Make inflammatory charges, de-humanize your opponents...

...divide by using nicknames, blame others of doing what you have done, play the victim, attack everyone that disagrees with you, encourage your followers to violence.

Nothing is beyond the demagogue. His personal attacks know no bounds. His insults are like music to those that seek to divide our nation.

"When I took over the United States..."

This was a phrase used by Donald Trump last Monday while meeting with the Pakistani leader.

What should we read into those words?

It shows where his mind is at this time. He didn't just win an election - he took over the country.

There was a lot of opportunities to make money. There were many deals to be made.

His connections would come in handy. He could pay off his debts.

He could become best friends with Vladimir Putin.

He might win the Nobel Prize?

The last 4 or 5 days have been like a roller coaster.

This morning, it feels like we can finally get off and catch our breath.

From Tuesday, when Nancy announced that she was going to begin a formal impeachment inquiry, to Wednesday, when Trump released a partial transcript of his conversation with the Ukraine president, to the whistleblower complaint on Thursday, and the subpoenas for the Secretary of State on Friday.

Wow! How quickly everything changed!

The Republicans are on the defensive and the White House is in a reported "panic".

Can someone put all of this into perspective?

September 28, 2019

The division is toxic for America.

There comes a time when we must look at matters from a different perspective.

We must set aside partisan labels, Democrats or Republicans, and look at matters as Americans.

Those that seek to divide us are not well-intentioned.

Our democracy is under threat, from both foreign and domestic sources.

As Americans, we must understand that this is beyond Democrat or Republican.

This is about the security of our nation.

It is as simple as that.

The price of liberty is eternal vigilance.
