Liz Cheney says she has been visiting college campuses...

...in her quest to keep Donald Trump from ever winning the White House again?

She stated that it simply could not be permitted to happen.

She appeared thinner and a little frail, but her passion in opposing Trump had not decreased at all.

She said he was unfit to be president. She would not commit to challenging him for the nomination, but it seemed certain that she would not run as a Republican. And she would not run if she thought her run would help Trump in any way.

She said the problem was that people keep electing "idiots". We need serious people, regardless of Party affiliation, she said.

One gets the feeling that she could create a huge headache for the Republicans if she does re-enter the playing field.

Liz Cheney may run for the White House?

Is she the last remaining conservative?

A quote by Aldous Huxley:

"The deepest sin against the human mind is to believe things without evidence."

I think Jack Smith may be putting more on Trump's plate than he can eat?

In other words, he is keeping him very busy.

Maybe that is part of his strategy?

Did the Supreme Court save democracy today?

In an attempt to return the country to pre-1776 times, Republicans pushed the theory that state legislatures (especially Republican) have the authority to determine the winner of Federal elections, and are not subject to any state court judicial reviews. It's almost like a dictatorship by committee.

It is surely un-democratic, with a small "d".

They were asking the Supreme Court to agree with their plan to send "fake" electors to Washington, even though their candidate did not win the popular vote in the state.

The Supreme Court did not see it as helpful to our democracy. It was a win for the Supreme Court and it was a win for democracy. The Trump MAGA Republicans were coveting a different decision by the Court. But, it did not come.

Chief Justice Roberts, Kavanaugh, and Amy Barrett voted with the liberals on the Court to protect our democracy. They voted down the independent state legislature theory.

It was a very important decision, in my opinion.

The ties that bind Donald and Rudy.

I have long thought that they have something common between them that defines their friendship.

Both like money and power. They desire the finer things in life.

But the one thing they most appreciate in each other is their ability to lie. To tell a bigger whopper than the other, but make people believe it. Surely they have had many a laugh over the lies they have gotten their loyal rubes to believe.

It is almost like a competition between them. "Did you really tell the people that Hugo Chavez created the software to infiltrate our voting system, Rudy? And that 5,000 dead people voted in Georgia? And they believed you? Those were some good whoppers!"

"Now Donald, who told them that he would turn over his tax returns as soon as the audit was completed? And that you would be too busy being president to ever get on the golf course? And that you would turn over your business to your children? And that you had no business dealings with Russia? You have told some real whoppers also. And your loyal followers sent you money by the millions?"

"I still think I can lie better than you."

Don't make me laugh. Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

Trump is lying his ass off to try and stay ahead of all the criminal charges.

He says the latest audio tape "exonerates" him. Sort of like the Mueller Report "exonerated" him from any collusion with the Russians.

He has to keep his cult in check. He can't have them doubting his "honesty". They have to believe him over the "fake news".

Because, if they can do it to him, they can do it to you. He is the only one standing between them and the deep state, brown shirts.

He pretends he is innocent of all charges. He has done nothing wrong. He had a right to do everything he is charged with, he tells them. He puts on a brave face for them.

"I was indicted for you", he says.

He feigns ignorance about the Presidential Records Act and laws regarding classified information and espionage. As President, he had a right to take anything he wanted. If the NARA wanted them back, all they need to say was "Please? Pretty please?"

If lies had a color, his would be green. Like envy, jealousy, and poison.

He lies with such sincerity.

Do you think the Republicans had plans on using state legislators to choose electors...?

...in the next election?

But the Supreme Court has now shot down that plan with today's decision?

I do believe they planned on winning the next election, by hook or crook.

We should never expect that a thief or a liar will be honest under any circumstances.

This is a good day for democracy, in my opinion.

I listened to the tape 3 times..

The clip that was on Lawrence's show.

It sounded like at least a half dozen people laughing and listening to the conversation going on between Trump and a "Staffer". People were laughing and guffawing in the background. Trump was making light of having in front of him a "highly classified" document of several pages.

He was showing someone a photo of the military giving him the attack plans for the country of Iran. He nonchalantly says that they brought him a lot of "papers" and he just happened to have them in front of him. What a coincidence! Wow!

He mentioned that they had a "problem". The document was classified and he no longer had the authority to de-classify them. The "Staffer" suggested they would need to work on it.

Could we assume that Mark Meadows was in the room, since both a publisher and writer were reportedly in the room? Would they be there without Meadows?

Also, you could hear two or three female voices during the frivolity. I thought it may have been a couple of his lawyers, along with Margo Marten from the Communications team.

Just a guess, but I would think that the old Russian, Boris Epshtyn, was somewhere near.

I can't wait to hear the Republican explanation for this tape.

Maybe FOX will report it?
