Is it possible to just ignore them?

I'm talking about those that deny accepted reality.

Isn't it simply a waste of energy to try and communicate with them anymore?

Just smile at them and go on your way?

Impeach him and let the chips fall where they may.

Also, tell them that you are not going to vote. They are all criminals. Discourage as many as possible from going to the polls.

(However, you should be in the voting line bright and early)

The plus side of impeachment

Some Democrats focus more on the negatives of impeachment.

However, it could be a positive if the Democrats are able to hold together for this fight. Unity is better than division before an election.

Also, since the Chief Justice is presiding over a trial in the Senate, he could rule that witnesses are required to testify in front of the Senate, without a possible long delay thru the courts. This could get fact witnesses in front of the trial much quicker.

Furthermore, it would keep Trump and the Republicans occupied. They will be on the defensive every day. It would be like an ankle bracelet on Donald Trump.

Is Pelosi about ready to pull the trigger?

And tell the Judiciary Committee to begin writing up the Articles of Impeachment?

She may be curious about the Court decision tomorrow with Don McGahn? If the Judge rules that Mr McGahn does not have the right to withhold information from a Congressional impeachment inquiry, Speaker Pelosi will not be inclined to wait further if McGahn signals that he is going to appeal the decision once again. Time cannot wait on cowards and traitors.

She will ask the House to do its duty and follow the law and the Constitution. She will pass the Articles out of the whole House and send them to the Senate. It will be a test of integrity for many in the Senate. Do they support their president or do they support their Country and their Constitution? That is a decision they will have to make.

Trump's removal has to be in the Republicans interest...

...or he will not be removed.

What is in the Republicans interest?

First of all, they want to keep their individual seats.

Secondly, they want to keep the US Senate and the White House.

They would sacrifice anyone that threatens those objectives. Including, Donald Trump.

They are encouraged by all the polls, real or not? They are held hostage by the Trump base.

The best we can say right now is that circumstances will have to change for Trump to be removed at this time.

How deep is this corruption?

Besides Devin Nunes, how many other Congressmen are complicit in this scandal and cover-up?

Besides Ron Johnson, how many other US Senators might be complicit in this mess?

How many in the Republican Party have taken contributions from Russia, either directly or indirectly? How many of them are assisting Russia in their effort to whitewash Putin in the 2016 elections? How many of them are willing to ignore the warning of Fiona Hill, our foremost expert on Putin and their intelligence services?

How corrupt is the Republican Party in this scandal? How many have agreed to tie the fortunes of their Party and their country upon the integrity of Donald J Trump?

The question we must ask: How much of a threat is this corruption to our national security and our democracy?

Slouching Towards Camp David

Reportedly, Republicans have been invited to Camp David for a playdate with Mick Mulvaney and others, including Herr Twittler, we would presume?

No doubt, Agolf Twittler wants something from the Republicans? He wants to be assured that he will not be convicted in a Senate trial.

But, one might think the Republicans might want something in return? They want all the facts from Mulvaney so they can defend Donald Trump without being blindsided by some embarrassing fact.

They should understand that it is a precarious move to meet with Donald Trump, lest they be complicit with an on-going scandal? They know that everything around Donald Trump is corrupted. Just look at his State Department.

Perhaps they can come to an understanding? Do they want this brand of government for the next 5 years? Or would they rather be stable and secure?

They will have no excuses if they do not find out the facts while they are at Camp David. If they choose otherwise, they are complicit in a Russian plot to attack our democracy and do great harm to our country. They need to dig a little deeper in the well and decide which way they want to go?

This is treacherous ground they walk.

For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

In politics, when one Party attempts to hammer the other, there is going to be an equal and opposite reaction.

If we try to force our viewpoints on someone, they will react negatively.

It is a theory of Sir Isaac Newton. It is as much a law of human nature, as it is science, in my opinion.

It is something we should bear in mind when we try to communicate with those who disagree with us.

Is That All There Is?

That is what many Republicans are asking? What is this about "attempted bribery"? They got their money, didn't they? The President is in charge of foreign policy. He can fire ambassadors any time he wants. So what's the big deal? Is that all there is?

Actually, no. That is not all there is. That is just a small sample of the abuse of power and corruption from this president.

Although these may end up as the final charges in the Articles of Impeachment, there is much more where that came from. Who can forget paying off adult-film stars just before his last election to keep her information from affecting the election results?

Who can forget the firing of James Comey, FBI Director, because he would not pledge loyalty to Donald Trump? Who can forget standing in front of the cameras and asking Russia to hack the emails of his political opponent?

Who can forget the crimes of his campaign manager and his personal attorney - both who are now in prison? Who can simply forget the connections to organized crime?

Who can forget his efforts to fire the Special Counsel, who was hired to investigate Russia's interference in our election? Who can forget the many instances of obstruction of justice?

Who can forget the many times he refused to recognize the authority of the Congress to oversee the Executive Branch, by disallowing anyone to testify, even with subpoenas? The obstruction of Congress is no small matter to be dismissed.

Who can forget Donald Trump standing on the podium in Helsinki with the leader of Russia and betraying our nation in front of the whole world? Of course, he believed Vladimir Putin over our own intelligence forces. What reason would he have not to believe Putin?

Yes, we can look at the attempted bribery and obstruction of justice in the Ukraine scandal and declare that it is not enough to impeach. There is much, much, much more.

(from a Peggy Lee song)

"And when I was twelve years old, my father took me to a circus, the greatest show on earth
There were clowns and elephants and dancing bears
And a beautiful lady in pink tights flew high above our heads
And so I sat there watching the marvelous spectacle
I had the feeling that something was missing
I don't know what, but when it was over
I said to myself, "is that all there is to a circus?"

"I want nothing! I want nothing! No quid pro quo!"

So far, that is Donald Trump's defense.

He has to use his own words to defend himself.

When Gordon Sondland called him and asked what he wanted from Ukraine, that was Trump's response.

Sondland didn't ask him about any "quid pro quo" - Trump just volunteered it.

He wants to set up his own alibi with his own words.

It strains credulity.
