Shannon Sharpe blasts Bill Belichick for refusing postgame interview

Bill Belichick is known for his surly disposition on those rare occasions when the Patriots lose. A lot was made of the coach not shaking Tom Coughlin's hand after the 2007 Super Bowl when the undefeated Pats lost to the upstart Giants. And now, nearly five years later, Belichick has again finds himself the subject of criticism for refusing to do a postgame interview with CBS following Sunday's 28-13 loss to the Ravens in the AFC Championship Game.

This development did not sit well with The NFL Today's Shannon Sharpe. “There's something to be said about being gracious in defeat,” Sharpe said. “We've seen the New England Patriots five times in the last 12 years be victorious. And we've seen the opposing coaches that lost come out and talk to our Steve Tasker. Coach (Bill) Cowher did it when [the Steelers] lost to them. We saw this last week [when the Patriots beat the Texans]."

Ravens' Terrell Suggs: "These are the most arrogant pricks in the world."

FOXBOROUGH -- After beating the Patriots 28-13 in the AFC championship, Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs took a few more shots at the Patriots.
..snip..
Suggs added: "That's funny, ever since SpyGate they haven't been able to win."

Dow, S&P 500 close at 5-year highs

So what happened to the tax hikes and Obamacare destroying the economy?

After a mostly flat trading day, the Dow and S&P 500 climbed during the last hours of trading Friday to finish the week at their highest levels since December 2007.

No Sane Govt Allows Its Citizenry to Own Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs)

I'm getting fed up with the nitpicking about gun technology and terminology. Here's the bottom line. The govt should ban anyone from owning a weapon that has more than 6 bullets in its chamber. After 6, you should re-load. The reason for 6 bullets is because that's probably closest to the norm that most people have. Anything above 6 bullets should be deemed to be a WMD.

Now, is this going to prevent all gun deaths? No. Do laws against murder prevent all murders? No. Will criminals be able to get higher capacity guns? Probably. Terrorists are able to make bombs. We don't throw up our hands and give up trying to stop them.

What are some of the benefits of having an imaginary girlfriend?

I have a few:

You save a ton of money on Valentine's day gifts.

You don't have to worry about leaving the seat up.

She can never dump you.

You can pass all the gas you want and she never complains.

Every vacation you two go on is 50% off.

Are There Any Limitations on the "Right to Bear Arms"? Any at all?

The 2nd Amendment doesn't say anything about guns specifically. It just mentions "arms". "Arms" can mean more than just guns. They also can mean tanks, missles, portable nukes, etc.

If the NRA's position is that any limitations on assault weapons is a violation of our 2nd amendment rights, then there are no limitations on what type of arms that we can have.

So, what's the difference between owning assault guns and owning a nuke?

The Most Amazing Fact About the Patriots' Decade+ of Dominance in the NFL

Dominating the NFL as the Partiots have for 12 years is an amazing feat in itself, but what is truly amazing is that they've done this with different players all along the way. The only constants are Tom Brady and coach Belichick.

There have been different WRs, TEs, running backs, OL. On defense, it's been different safeties, corners, LBs, DLs. Heck, the coaching staff has even seen tremendous turnover as well as their GM.

Most sports dynasties rely on a core group of players, coaches, and a GM. Not the Pats. They contend every year for a title while literally rebuilding their entire franchise, from GM down to player, all along the way.

When it comes to the Pats, we're not dealing with a football team. We're dealing with a Terminator robot.

(p.s. I am not a Patriots fan. I am just giving an honest observation.)
