Harvard couple who paid housekeeper $4 a week for more than 13 YEARS are spared jail

Martha Smalanskas, 48, and Richard Smalanskas, 49, from Harvard, Massachusetts, pleaded guilty to violating the Fair Labor Standards Act at a federal court hearing in Boston on Wednesday
They originally met their victim in Bolivia when she was 16 and hired for as a nanny for their three children
Three years later they brought her to the U.S. illegally, claiming her to be a relative
For 13 years and four months she worked as their housekeeper and nanny, with the prosecution saying she made $2500 total

The family will pay her $150,000 restitution and serve 12 months probation, escaping prison time for a charge of harboring an illegal immigrant, which was subsequently dropped

Hi guys kind of new here and buying a Siberian Husky

I started a post in GD about asking Husky owners to chime in.

The breeder I went to had sold the last male.
All she had was a pure white female , she was a beautiful pup but not what I was looking for.

I found another breeder and I'm first in line for a male agouti litter that will be born in the spring.

Finding an agouti (black and gray)is a bit more challenging than finding a traditional color Husky.

If there are any Siberian Husky owners here I would love to here from you.

Maybe I'm missing it but why is it a good idea to get Christie out of the number one spot?

This guy has no appeal to any Republicans except in a couple of east coast states.

In the south most Republicans would stay home than vote for him in a national election.

A lot of Midwest states also don't care for him. He's the perfect guy to win the nomination.

He doesn't appeal at all to Republicans unless they live in NJ, NY , MA or CT that's it...

Tax refund system

I know a single mother who works 20 hours a week
in a spa who and claims she gets back around $11,000 in a tax refund check.

In her job she said she earns gross around $13,000 a year


She told me for the last 4 years she has received on average every year over $10,800 in a tax refund.

I tend to believe her since every year around February she takes a trip to Disney land
with her kids.

Does anyone here have a Siberian Husky? going to look at a pup

I'm going to look at a male 8 week old pup Tuesday , what am I getting into?

Before you say to rescue one , I can't find local anywhere , believe me I tried.
I found one female 1 year old but the foster home told me they won't adopt her
to anyone that has another dog in the home.

A Beaumont store owner charged with disorderly conduct insists he never broke the law and was just exercising his second amendment rights.




On Dec. 28, Derek Poe stopped by GameStop in Parkdale Mall before going to the store he owns in the mall, Golden Triangle Tactical. While at GameStop, he was stopped by police officers and the AR-15 that was slung around his back was seized.
