In the fiercely opposed, and ultimately aborted recounts of the 2016 election, authorized by Jill Stein, (the only redeeming act of hers), it was discovered that the ES & S model 200 scanner had a wireless modem and was thus able to be connected to the internet.
Mind you, Federal election laws (that is one F of an oxymoron for you) prohibit voting equipment to have internet connectivity capabilities and prohibit the equipment from being internet accessible ( I know, redundant).
Evidently, the voting equipment being used in ‘bama is the ES&S equipment, using the model 200 scanner.
Now this does use a paper ballot, filled out/marked by the voter.
After the ballot is marked, the voter, at least in my county, in Ventura, Calif., puts the ballot into the scanner, which reads it and saves it to memory. If the ballot is marked incorrectly, the scanner rejects the ballot, the voter is alerted, and can fill out/mark a new one, with poll worker instructions why the ballot was rejected. A rejected / incorrectly marked ballot is termed a “Spoiled Ballot” and is not counted.

Now, the second part of problematic issues in today’s ‘bama election.
There mostly likely will be registered Repubs who will cross party lines and vote for the Dem, Doug Jones. This is where it gets dicey.
As per reports today from ‘bama voters, there is a line at the top of the ballot, in which a voter can mark “Straight Party Ticket”, i.e. if marked “R” then all that voter’s vote selections will be for the R’s. Same goes for Dems. There is no crossover voting allowed when this option is chosen.
If a Repub voter marks that straight ticket line, and then crosses over and votes for the Dem, Doug Jones, that ballot will be “Spoiled” and not counted.
I have not yet read where if a ballot so marked, when entered into the scanner, will notify the voter that their ballot is spoiled. This part is important.
There has been some additional info on this by the Montgomery Reporter, quoting Christopher Turner, the assistant director of
elections for Montgomery County, who stated that this will not create a spoiled ballot and will over the straight line party command.

Verified Voting has uncovered further problems with the ES & S Equipment:"Skewed Ballots 2 During testing on the Unity 3.2.1.0, a DS200 did not count a valid mark for a race. The anomaly was discovered when county testers reviewed the printed election summary report for the DS200 unit. The count for a single contest did not match the expected results. The test was performed to verify that ES&S had corrected a previous anomaly with similar symptoms. The county testers were using a 17” ballot with contests concentrated in the lower sections of the ballot. In discussion with the EAC, ES&S stated that they have only been able to replicate this issue in testing by removing the plastic guides and physically altering the ballot (cutting of a corner). In an effort to understand the issue the EAC focused on reviewing ballot images from several states and previous test campaigns. The review included 11”, 14”, 17” and 19” ballots. In the course of the review, the EAC found various degrees of ballot image distortion; with the 17” ballot having the largest degree of skew. The EAC is working with jurisdictions, VSTLs and the manufacturer to understand and resolve this issue."

In a State, where it seems to be acceptable that a 32 year old Ultra religious extremist bigoted male can try to rape 14 year old non-religious extremist believing girls, than having/using wireless, internet connected voting tabulating equipment, subject and accessible to Tabulation Manipulation, can be an extremely serious threat to the whole concept of Representative Democracy.

Tuesday night, in Santa Barbara, The Tedeschi Trucks Band opened their set playing The Stones’ “Sweet Virginia”, which I do believe was no coincidence. Being on California Time, it was at that point known that the Dems took Virginia. How stunningly appropriate that song was for that moment, that night. ...”Ya gotta scrape that shit right off your shoes...”
After the show, I asked some people associated with the Band if they ever opened with this song, and they said no. I did some further digging, looking at their set lists, and this song was never listed, however, there were some real good blues songs listed which they did not play and I would have really liked to have heard.
So, without being able to talk directly to the band, I can only assume that this song was very much intentionally chosen to play. And how incredibly appropriate.
But then again, how prescient have some Stones songs been.

Okay, so now something about the Band. Great band, I was expecting a more blues based set, maybe similar to Joe Banamassa, but I was pleasantly surprised. They went into some very interesting directions. One song, Dereck Trucks played the guitar like it was a sitar, the song was more like a raga and featured a very interesting interplay by the 2 drummers, and interplay between Trucks and the Hammond Organ player. There was a lot more interesting playing done. If you like interesting music, this band is there. Maybe not Al DiMeola or Jeff Beck, but very interesting. They are worth seeing, for sure.

Abusing His Power, Jeff Sessions Prosecuted Democrats Who Challenged Rethugs in Alabama
After he was appointed by Ronald Reagan in 1981, as the U.S. Federal Prosecuting Attorney for Alabama’s southern district, Jeff Sessions tenure was defined as a zealot-like crusade to prosecute, punish, and suppress those who presented a threat to the established Republiklan political and social structure and order. Using and abusing his Federal prosecuting authority and powers, Jeff Sessions left a trail of broken and destroyed lives, political careers, and civil rights repressions in his wake, wearing them as a badge of honor, of moral superiority, and of his cultural and political dominance over others who were a threat to Southern “values” and Republican power. Obviously, his foundation was and continues to be based on his racist and religious extremist “values”, which he has used to justify his vile abuse of authority and his rationale for his contempt and utter disdain for what he views as his enemy, and his apparent war on any and all forms of civil rights and equality.
Much has been publicized of his vehement prosecution of Black people who attempted to fight for their civil rights and right to vote.
So I will not go into that here.
However, Jon Swaine and Oliver Laughland, at The Guardian, have written an exceptional article researching the history of Democrats who were falsely and unjustifiably prosecuted by Jeff Sessions while he was the U.S. Attorney in Alabama. The people were prosecuted and had their lives destroyed by Jeff Sessions solely because they presented a threat to Republican officials in Alabama.

“The inquiry into Greenough was led by Jack Brennan, a senior FBI agent in Mobile who was close to Sessions. Distinctive for his puffy red face and thinning hair, Brennan would reappear several times in Sessions’ cases against local Democrats….
At 7am on 25 November 1985, Brennan and two other investigators paid a visit to the home of Gurney Owens, Mobile County’s top waste disposal official. Owens was in deep trouble….”
In a typical Law Enforcement approach, the FBI agents attempted to “squeeze” Mr. Owens and get him to roll (“snitch”) on others.
““The US attorney’s office and the FBI presented to Mr Owens a hitlist of approximately 20 people that they wanted him to snare,” Owens’s attorney, Jim Atchison, said in a statement filed to court. “It is interesting to note that every single person on the list is either a well-known Democrat or active in the Democratic party.”…
“Owens declined to take the deal. He was convicted and sentenced to 10 years in prison.
“Sessions would get really, really mad at my dad because my dad refused to roll over,” recalled Owens’s son Gerry, who said he once watched an enraged Sessions berate his father in a courthouse corridor. “He’d be sitting there calm as can be, and would then explode like a firecracker.”
Tangentially tied into the Owens case, was Mr. Douglas Wicks, a Democratic county commissioner, who had been the first black person elected to the Mobile County commission, who had voting power on who should win the contract for a landfill, which was the focus of the Owens case.
At this point in time, Reagan had nominated Sessions for a Federal judge position, for which Sessions was ultimately rejected because of his racist history.
“During the Senate hearings, future vice-president Joe Biden asked Sessions if it was true that he called Wicks a “nigger” during a break in a court hearing in November 1981.
Sessions denied using the racist term but the allegation, coupled with other first-hand accounts of Sessions use of racially insensitive language, went some way to killing his nomination.”
A few months later, his judgeship prospects in tatters, Sessions indicted Wicks after all. The indictment for extortion was publicly unveiled by Sessions two days after the Senate confirmed an attorney to take the judgeship he had been denied.”
“Sessions accused Wicks of demanding a bribe from the owner of a pumping firm in return for a permit. Owens said so, too. But the businessman testified that he voluntarily gave Wicks a campaign contribution after the permit had been given. “I don’t feel that I was extorted,” he said.”
Umm, how often, and how normal is it for government contractors to “donate” to politicians.
Mr. Wicks was eventually convicted and sentenced to 15 years in prison.
In 1989, Sessions really went to great lengths to terminate an election threat by a Democrat, Lambert Mims, to the Republican Mayor of Mobile, Alabama, Arthur Outlaw, a close friend of Sessions.
“Sessions indicted Mims on criminal corruption charges relating to obscure four-year-old negotiations over a planned recycling plant. Mims was the ninth notable Democrat in the area to be indicted by Sessions since the young Republican was appointed by President Ronald Reagan. He would not be the last.
Opponents concluded that Sessions used his federal prosecutor’s office, and the FBI agents who worked for him, as political weapons, according to more than half a dozen veterans of Mobile’s 1980s legal and political circles. Some alleged in court filings that the ambitious young Republican actually worked from a “hitlist” of Democratic targets.
“Sessions was a gun for hire,” said Tom Purvis, a former sheriff of Mobile County, “and he went after political enemies.” Purvis was acquitted of charges against him that Sessions oversaw after Purvis unseated another Outlaw ally from the elected sheriff’s position.”
So, now, America’s Judicial system is controlled by this man, Jeff Sessions, a vile corrupt bastard, wholly and totally devoid of any and all sense of morals and ethics. And he is all that stands between uncovering the truth of Trump’s corruption and financial ties to Russia versus protecting Trump’s corruption and Fascism.
Jeff Sessions must resign as Attorney General of the United States of America.
Election Assistance Commission (EAC) Elimination Bill Passes House Committee
The House Committee on House Administration, today, on a partisan vote of 6 to 3, voted to eliminate the Election Assistance Commission, (EAC), the ONLY Federal agency responsible for establishing and enforcing standards, rules, and regulations for voting, especially electronic voting machines in the United States of America. I mean, what the fuck, we all know that there is absolutely no need whatsoever for monitoring and regulating voting machines and procedures in America. After all, who ever heard of electronic hacking occurring in 2017? As ineffective as the EAC is, at the bare minimum, there was a foundation of rules and regulations for voting machines. I know, because years ago, I read the 300 page manual of regs by the EAC and every other doc that they issued. Basically, their testing and compliance program was a joke.

This move is particularly worrisome given reports that suspected Russian hackers attempted to access voter-registration systems in more than 20 states during the 2016 election. Moreover, the Presidential Commission on Election Administration set up by President Obama in 2014 outlined an “impending crisis” in voting technology and the Brennan Center found that 42 states used voting machines in 2016 that were at least a decade-old and at risk of failing. The EAC was the agency tasked with making sure these voting systems were both modernized and secure.
By eliminating any and all oversight and regulatory agencies on voting and voting machines, the GOP have created a comprehensive program of guaranteeing complete Republican election victories and control of American governance for decades to come. Combined with their gerrymandering, voter ID laws, and Kris Kobach’s Interstate Cross Check voter rolls purging program, they have destroyed the very historical foundation of American Democracy, that of free, democratic, one citizen, one vote elections. This has reduced the American concept of democratic elections to a façade. What this really amounts to, is Demographic Cleansing. They do not have to engage in mass genocide of selected, targeted groups, they merely eliminate them from any sort of governance and destroy any form of participatory democracy.
Eliminating the EAC has and will create a Cyber Crime based voting system. At present, there has been a serious effort underway to replace aging voting machines with new equipment. With EAC and all rules and regs wiped out, they are assured of no compliance to software and hardware standards. In racing, we call this “Run What You Brung”. Anything goes. “If you ain’t cheatin’, you ain’t racin ‘ ”. Shit, NASCAR has higher standards and rules for racin’ than America has for our election process.

To ensure the establishment of full and total control of America’s “election process”, Trump has appointed Jeff Sessions to be the Attorney General, who has vehemently supported voter ID laws and vigorously attacked any and all civil rights and voting rights laws and enforcement. The Trump Administration has immediately, since day one, announced a severe reduction in the civil rights division of the DoJ. Adding to this, Trump appointed Attorney John Gore, who specializes in defending voter suppression laws, as head of the DoJ Civil Rights Division.
Combine all of this with Trump’s vociferous fraudulent allegations of massive imaginary voter fraud ( but no mention of election fraud) it is easy to predict that very, very soon the Republicans will enact a nationwide voter ID law. Thus guaranteeing them complete and total domination of governance of America for decades.
This my friends is how Fascism in America has become a Fait accompli, done deed, the end of Democracy in America. Democracy, oh, it was a noble and honorable idea. But, alas, it was created for and by honorable people. Today, in America, honorable ideas have been destroyed by corrupt and power crazed tyrants, religious zealots, and uncontrolled greed. Make absolutely no mistake, the America which we and history has known for the last 241 years no longer exists. Exit Democracy, enter Fascism.

Infrastructure” To Be Protected From Election Day Cyber Attack
“Critical Infrastructure”, as per The Department of Homeland Security: 16 systems and services “so vital to the United States that their incapacitation or destruction would have a debilitating effect on security, national economic security, national public health or safety, or any combination thereof.”
On Wednesday, Jeh Johnson, Department of Homeland Security Secretary, stated that he is considering adding America’s Electronic Voting Systems to the list of 16 systems and services which are now classified and deemed to be “Critical Infrastructure”. Secretary Johnson’s concern is that there could be a possible cyber attack on America’s E-Voting systems in the November election.
Secretary Johnson stated that President Barack Obama’s administration was considering how to institute voter protections in the 9,000 jurisdictions around the country, citing the “vital national interest” in the electoral process. The secretary said he has already contacted state and local officials to discuss “best practices” to fight off hacking attempts.
Well, it looks like somebody is finally paying attention to the internet based, electronic attacks on America’s voting systems, so far in this voting cycle. The publicized hacks/attacks on the voting rolls in Brooklyn, Arizona, and Riverside County, in California, are most likely a harbinger of what is to come. My feelings are that they were test runs to see what they can do and get away with, and to do research on the tracing abilities, or lack of, to find the attackers. I strongly believe that there will be a major attack on large voting systems come November. And no, these attacks were not done to undermine Bernie. The attacks were real, the reasons were real, and so will be the future attacks.
So, after 16 years of attacks and destruction of any sort of election integrity on the American Voting/Election system, what do the State officials who are supposed to safeguard election integrity have to say on this subject?
Let’s go to the spokesperson for the National Association of Secretaries of State, Kay Stimson, who had this to say: “that it’s hard for the country’s voting system to be attacked online because each state governs its own process, while 60 percent of the states hold audits after every election.”
And :
“It’s also important to point out that our election systems are not Internet-based systems,” said Stimson. “They are closed systems.”
Guess what, Shtumie Stimsom, they are fucking computers !!!!
Then why are they hacked? And why is this SoS Association so oblivious and unconcerned about the recent attacks?
And, in 2016, how can anyone having even a minimal amount of work with computers make public pronouncements that hacking and cybercrime are not a threat to any and all computers everywhere?
Who is this person fooling?
It is prudent to note that amongst this fine, distinguished group of America’s Secretaries of State, there are the likes of Kris Kobach of Kansas, and John Husted of Ohio. Both of these men are at the forefront of destroying any semblance of integrity of the American election system, and could not give a good flying fuck about voting system security.
These Secretaries of State, and hundreds of County Registrars of Voters have absolutely no interest in election integrity and security. Their interest is to undermine, subvert, and destroy the American election system.
The statement from the SoS Association reminds me of the various California county registrars of voters whom we encountered when I was active fighting e-voting in California. Some were dumb as nails, most were totally unconcerned about system security, almost all were totally under the spell of the venders’ reps. They believed any line of shit laid on them (and I do not mean the good definition of ‘laid”). That is why our group was devoted to get Debra Bowen elected to SoS of California. That is also why we went after L.A. County Registrar of Voters Connie McCormack, the most influential RoV in America, and we got rid of her.
What we have now in America is a Cyber Crime based voting/election system, which purposely and intentionally exist for the sole purpose of Election Fraud, hacking, and Tabulation Manipulation. And there exists a whole group of powerful elected officials, see the SoS Association, who are committed and dedicated to perpetuating this Cyber Crime based system.
It is our job, now that we know that the current Administration is aware of this, especially the Dept. of Homeland Security, to raise hell and awareness on this issue. If you belong to local Dem clubs, go to your meetings, and when elected officials appear before these groups, raise this issue,

Well, with Ben Carson, a conscienceless predator of infinite and limitless boundaries, nobody can actually foresee what this dumb fuck will say and do next.
Seriously, what I write today about him as a nasty satirical piece, can actually turn into a true story down the road. What we view as the absurd now, these fucks can make real tomorrow. They have no restraints, no sense of knowledge, intelligence, rational, well thought out thinking, nothing. They do not even seem to understand what they say, especially Carson, a totally vapid and vacuous moron.

The stupidity and ignorance of Carson is absolutely mind boggling, the fact that another grown man, one who does run businesses appoints a person of such astounding stupidity to a position of responsibility is almost beyond description.
The only explanation which I can think of, is that Trump knows that the media will give exposure to Carson & whatever he says, no matter how f'n stuuupid it is.

In my previous article, I wrote about The Rolling Stones songs, particularly “Sympathy For The Devil” being played at the Donald Trump Donkey Show rallies.
Well, our Neo Fascist buddy is still playing Stones songs at his Lynch Mob/Rallies.
