Well, it happened, I got thrown into the hospital without ins.
I woke up on Monday night shivering so hard I almost fell off the bed.
I had to use the restroom them put on sweatpants and socks and a sweatshirt.
I still couldnt stop shivering, and I was having trouble catching my breath.
After a few minutes we went to the emergency room.
By that time my lips were blue and I was talking to my mom who passed away 5 years ago.
They put me on oxygen and after about 20-30 min. of not knowing my name or my wife's name I started coming around.
I told them I couldn't be admitted as I couldn't afford it.
and actually got up, then fell over.
They convinced me to stay.
Now the scary part, they found a shadow on my esophagus and took a biopsy.
I got the word today that its benign, whew.
Now how to pay for it, I just got out today.
I pretty much got the pneumonia licked and the throat thing is fixable.
I lucked out, now the nail biting begins.I think it's ridicules that I got hurt on the job and have to beg for help.
I would have gladly paid the group rate but, no, I was thrown out on my ass.

Oldest Arctic Sea Ice is Disappearing

"A new study by NASA scientist Joey Comiso has found that the oldest and thickest Arctic sea ice is disappearing at a faster rate than the younger and thinner ice at the edges of the ice cap. The rapid disappearance of older ice makes the Arctic Ocean's sea ice cap more vulnerable to further decline."

I got hurt on the job, now they "let me go"
I tore up my shoulder pretty good and had to have surgery.
I was told it was LEGAL to fire(let go) me.
I lost my insurance for my kids.
I dont get it, should I have lied when I got hurt? Kept it from them?
I am still getting disability payments, but they said they
will end on May 23rd.
What is a guy supposed to do?
I am angry and worried as hell...I still
cannot lift my arm up, forget about picking up something heavy.
I got a lawyer, and (I guess I'll have to sue them).
I cant understand how that can be legal, but it is in PA.
Through no fault of my own, I followed the rules about reporting my injury.
Well, I just have to wait and see I guess.
