It changes

Life. Time. The world
It all changes
The struggles I face
Are not yours

Yours are not mine
I have mine
You have yours
Both the good and the bad

This year
let us remember one another
Allow me to see you and
Walk in your shoes, you in mine

Allow me to hold you
When you are sad, even if I am not
Allow me to see you
You to see me

Let us all know that we are here
Together on this small planet
In the middle of a vast universe
Let us become as one and reach out together

I am not alone
You are not alone
We are only separated from one another
By a small distance

May that distance this night
Be erased by my words
By yours
Let us find peace in this:

Our fingers, touching a key board
Your eyes seeing
That someone out here, in the ether(net)
will know your name, your pain

Will listen, and respond
Will not let you be alone
And will, if nothing else,
Will think about you

A real person, with real feelings
