Roger Ebert was sent this short film (Man in a Blizzard) by email from its maker, James Stuart. He tells you on his website why he is so taken by it and thinks it should be nominated for an Academy Award in the live-action short subject category.

This guy tells his story of making it to Ebert, but basically, he got it out the day AFTER the blizzard of the 26th. It doesn't take long to watch. I especially like the ending segment on "the stuck"-- the stuck car, the guy riding the moped stuck in the snow, and intermixed with scenes of the poor little dog totally stuck in large drifts. ;) Nicely done. Scroll down on Ebert's blog to take a look and then go back to read Ebert's comments to appreciate why he is so enthralled.
