Suprise, Suprise Donald Trump Won't Release Tax Information
I just readon the CNN news ticker that Donald Trump has now stated that he will not release his tax information unless President Obama releases his birth certificate. I am not in the least bit suprised that Trump is making this statement.

4. Okay, seriously... the birther shit pisses me off.

Friend on FB said Obama hadn't proven that he was a citizen.

Me: "Is there a level of proof you would accept as sufficient beyond traveling back in time and witnessing the birth yourself? There are people who believe that even data from the Lunar Laser Ranging experiments is insufficient to prove we landed on the moon."

Him: "Sure. A birth certificate that includes all the normal information, such as a physician's signature."

Me: "‎... so my birth certificate, that I used to get married and apply for a passport, would not be sufficient. Thanks, that's what I needed to know."

Considering my citizenship was a significant issue when I got married, since I was marrying a non-citizen and therefore the INS scrutinized me carefully... he's wanting a standard of proof that is a burden far and beyond any other time the government investigates whether or not you are a citizen.

5. That's probably why he's been pursuing the birther nonsense...
...so he could pull this false equivalency out of his ass.

7. Saw T Rump on the Toady Show this morning
To Savannah Guthrie's credit, she actually asked one or two substantive questions during the usual NBC fluff fest that is its ongoing coverage of T Rump. One of the questions she asked was about T Rump's personal net worth. T Rump responded with his usual bombast about how Forbes had gotten the number ($2.5 billion) all wrong, and how his personal fortune was much, much bigger than that! Coyly, T Rump wouldn't quite name a number. Guthrie asked him about a financial disclosure report, which all presidential candidates have to file. T Rump suddenly got quite specific, demonstrating a thorough knowledge of reporting obligations, their timing, and the likelihood of requesting and granting extensions. Naturally, T Rump noted, he wouldn't need any extensions, because he could file a financial disclosure report any second. When Guthrie teasingly asked him why not disclose now, T Rump suddenly got lockjaw and hemmed and hawed his way out of a direct answer.

T Rump will drop this vanity run the second he has to file that financial disclosure form. He knows it, NBC knows it, and the pooh-bahs in the Republican Party know it.

19. I never said it WAS a constitutional "thing"...just that when candidates choose to run, they
release their tax info..Frankly I don't dive a damn..they are all pretty much assumed to be rich, and most are my my (and millions of others' standards)

no need to make an "issue" of it with me..not gonna play

11. So his investigators in Hawaii have found....nothing?
Nothing other than a legitimate birth certificate? Boy, Obama's mother sure knew how to cover her tracks. She could have been a criminal mastermind.

14. Criminal mastermind who also figured out time travel.
Oh, and how to make a newborn baby invisible and silent for around 30 hours or so to fly from Kenya to Hawaii. And she was a master forger, creating that fake birth certificate that looks so real that everyone at the department of health is fooled by it.

And to think: she managed to do all that while she was pretty much penniless, on food stamps, and living in a group home for unwed mothers.

Freaking AMAZING!

So he'd have an excuse not to show his financials.
