Why Posser Got 99% of The Vote Last Time
I spend a lot of time researching judges when election time rolls around.

If Clinton or Dem. Govs appointed the judge, I vote YES
If Bush(s) or GOP Govs appointed the judge, I vote NO

Then my friends call, and I go through the list with them.

Most people either vote yes on all of them or don't vote at all.

1. Here in IL we elect Judges and vote to retain them
I vote against them all rather than vote to retain Judges I know nothing about.

2. What are you talking about?
How are you voting for a Federal judge at all?

Federal Judges that President's nominate are not up for election, they have lifetime appointments. So are you just joking or making this up?

Further, Prosser probably got 99% of the vote on a previous election cycle because he ran unopposed.

3. I always check their ratings among several bar associations
Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Council of Lawyers, Women's Bar Association of Illinois, Gay and Lesbian bar association, Latino bar association. It takes hours and hours for all the various judges: District Appellate, Cook County Circuit, Subcircuits. It's insane, but it's the best I can do. I make up a cheat sheet and make a copy for my spouse. We're probably the only nuts in the city who do this.

4. I imagine a lot of votes for judges are cast
in ignorance. Some voters will fill in the circles just because they're there.
