Huff Post: Sarah Palin Attempts To Explain 'Refudiate' Gaffe
Does Sarah know that we have the goggle and that we can fact check anything she spews?

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/12/27/sarah-palin-refudiate-typo_n_801701.html

You see it was just a typo ..... :spray:

"I pressed an F instead of a P and people freaked out," said Sarah, pointing out that her blunder was the
second-most-searched word on Google trends. "Make lemonade out of lemons," said Sarah.

Too bad there is a video link to Sarah saying the word "refudiate" on Hannity's show.

3. why talk about something important when you can talk about grammer and spelling.
Edited on Mon Dec-27-10 08:13 PM by RandomThoughts
It shows the intent of the system.

If the population was educated, most people would not allow an article on that event to be the news story, nor would they repeat it.

That is exponential (label trap)^2 , not only are they worried about a label, they are even worried about it being a word or its spelling or grammar.

And those that know that, and do that, think it is funny to destroy society. If they then explained after that how it was label trap, they might be educating, they are trying to confuse people with distraction.

11. I have said 'what'
Can you explain what you do not understand.

Do you know what label trap is. I have posted scores of post on label trap, maybe even hundreds.

It is the use of a word instead of a thought. Using a loaded label instead of something based on a thought. Commenting on Sara's grammar is to invoke the unintelligent, or uneducated concept stored in that idea, so it is using a label trap to invoke a label trap. Very advanced usage of label trap.

So instead of commenting on what she was saying in the phrase, they comment on the grammar. That moves the conversation from the content to some other object that really means nothing about what she said.

If I say I luv you, or I love you. Would discussing the spelling mean anything at all? Why would it matter? Because if you talk about the spelling you can avoid the meaning, and move the conversation to ideas loaded in peoples macros about 'educated' people.

Same way using a label is not to explore the meaning of something, talking about the spelling of some word in a sentence would be exponential label trap.

25. Suffice it to say, you have a rather eccentric way of expressing yourself.
As does Sarah Palin. Including making up words.

This is not mere spelling, it's a glimpse into the mind of the speaker/twitterer. And what does it suggest to us?

• She'd like to be thought of as thoughtful and articulate
• Unfortunately, she's poorly educated
• She's both arrogant and defensive in justifying errors of speech that anyone might make (and that a sensible person would have elided with a simple "oops")

So, with a single word, we've learned a lot about the character of Sarah Palin.

Your concept of the "label trap" (of which up to now I am completely unaware) seems -- as best I can puzzle it out -- irrelevant to the judgments of Sarah Palin being made based on this incident. Which is to say, that misuse of grammar is a message and a sign and a symptom.

26. And by all means, points should be awarded for spelling.
Regardless of how that might impinge on "label trap" territory.

5. ahh...the dangers of hitting the wrong key...
when entering language into the BarbieSpeaks program...

once that string is pulled...the words come out regardless of spelling, meaning, etc...

sarah would actually be well-served if she went 'blank' (ala jan brewer) when attempting to address anything...her fans would consider her 'thoughtful and intellectual'...

after all, she wouldn't say anything stupid...

10. Well she did speak about the country of Africa .....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWZHTJsR4Bc

..... and seeing Russia from Alaska which you can't except from 2 small Island in the Bering Sea one of
which nobody lives on and the the other, Little Diomede Island, that she has never visited.

Sarah is bone ass stupid but to some of her followers they find comfort in her lack of intelligence or
"book learning."
