But they are already paid for. The real cost is the day to day operation of ships in the region which is more than a million a day per ship. The cost to replace them might be higher. If it saves civilian lives and help depose a mass murdered, it shoudl be worth it. I am sure the Libyan people who are sitting up a government right now are thankful of the cost. assuming this information is accurate.... 500K each ... 1.4mil each.... whatever....



Odds are the old ones will be replaces with the newer more expensive version. So a truly accurate accounting of the cost of those missiles may never be possible.
