Talking Point Tundra Twit! (Palin lied, spectacularly)
$4.00 a Gallon President!
Yes I remember the $4.00+ a Gallon President… His Name was George W Bush and in the Summer of 2008 under President George W. Bush a gallon of gas was over $4.00 per gallon.
Of course as time went on the prices came back down including the first two years of the Obama Administration. So now they are headed back up, and if ANYONE believes that ANY United States President can directly affect and control oil prices, are the most delusional people on the planet! Any high school student knows that oil prices are affected by the world economy, oil speculators and global demand. Of course in the Tundra Twit’s Pea Brain, She feels and wants you to believe with her pathetic talking points that Oil Prices are driven by Oil Production and Oil Reserves. And no surprise, according to her, the best place for this production is right up there in Alaska. If you believe that bull shit then go ahead and buy that bridge to NOWHERE she wants to sell you!

The lady overstated reserves by 9,000%... peak oil is now fully on.

We know she lies, but still, in a strange and quirky way, this made me laugh.

1. She didn't write that...
Too much punctuation, far too few words per sentence, and ALL of the words were used correctly.

But the lies are there, so I can see how people might be confused:D

4. Yes, I recognized the plopping...
Piece of work, that one. She's good for one thing, though. You have no doubt about the mental acuity, or lack thereof, of those who support her! You'd have to be a blithering idiot who knows nothing about politics, government, and human nature to support her smarmy positions.

8. I don't think Palin is technically wrong there
Her post says "north of the Arctic Circle", but the blogger limits his response to US coastal areas. Has the USGS revised down the estimate for the Arctic as a whole?

Of course, Palin's point is irrelevant since most of that area doesn't belong to us, and she left out the word "undiscovered", but I'm not sure her basic statement is as big a lie as the blogger makes out...

11. The oil companies drill wherever they want
If they wanted to drill in the frozen tundra, the national parks, or in the Palin's kitchen, they'd just "convince" a few politicians to pass legislation, and we all know it.

The fact is, we never hear backup for the "drill baby drill" crowd from Big Oil. That's because the places these morans want the oil harvested is not profitable right now compared to middle eastern crude. I actually got a chain mail demand from a RWNJ recently to allow drilling in the Rocky Mountains. Think about that the next time you fly over that very inaccessible region. Worse, the oil these nuts want harvested is shale oil. There's a lot of it, but the oil companies would have to fly in equipment, blast the shale loose, fly it out, and spend a fortune extracting it.

The same goes for the vast reserves in Tongrass. Well above the Arctic Circle, the widely distributed crude may as well be on the Moon. Worse, the oil isn't in one big reserve, so thousands of rigs would have to be built and maintained, then oil shipped out by way of non-existent roads.

If we discovered there was oil on Mercury, these right wingers would complain the "tree huggers" won't let Exxon go get it.
