Hacker group plans BofA e-mail release Monday
(Reuters) - Anonymous, a hacker group sympathetic to WikiLeaks, plans to release e-mails obtained from Bank of America Corp early Monday morning, according to posts on the group's Twitter feed.

The group, unrelated to the document leak website founded by Julian Assange, said it plans to release documents exposing "corruption and fraud" at the largest U.S. bank by assets.

A Bank of America spokesman was not immediately available for comment.

18. That's just over an hour from now
They don't have daylight savings time (do they still call it summer time?) going yet, so London is four hours later than US East Coast. (See http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=136)

So set your watches for 1 am EDT.

4. No BOA spokesperson available ~
I imagine they were relieved that Wikileaks had not released the documents they have. Poor banks and oppressive leaders everywhere. The People finally have someone on THEIR side.

Tomorrow should be interesting.

10. same
been hearing about these alleged BAC docs for so long, but what's been seen to date is very disappointing. I wonder whether hackers really understand what is and what is not damning within the banking system. Their best route is to document dump and let experts pore over the evidence.

Of course, even if the evidence they expose is damning, who is going to do something about it?

Definitely not Eric Holder, asleep at the wheel for two years now and counting.

12. Such as?
Checking out the news, it looks like the only significant thing on his plate is Project Gunwalker scandal abatement.

If he's too busy to take care of major financial crimes that have literally a planetwide effect, he's grossly incompetent and ought to resign. This country cannot function in the absence of law enforcement.

14. No posts in over a month
Guess that answers my question... he ain't doing squat.

Last one has him in Poland laying a wreath at a Holocaust memorial (and this is part of the Attorney General's job how?)... there's exactly one thing of real importance (Medicare fraud prosecutions) on the entire blog going back to the beginning.

Most importantly, there is not a single thing on the banking system! Biggest economic crisis in history, demonstrably driven by fraud and lawbreaking, and it gets less attention from our Attorney General than marijuana prosecutions!!!

15. Did you go to the press releases?
March 11 - 7
March 10 - 9
March 09 - 10
March 08 - 5
March 07 - 5

So, in one week, there were 36 press releases.

And I had to waste my time typing this because you cannot read.

16. OK so the press releases show nothing too
just the one woman at Colonial Bank, which came as a shock to everybody because of all the greater financial crimes totally ignored for all this time, and for which no prosecution is expected.

When the story of our country's disintegration is written, the absence of effective action from AG Holder will play a prominent part.

17. Nothing?
Don't you think he has a very full plate.

Press releases occur when stuff can be released to the press - 36 items in one week is impressive.

Stuff that is being worked on, does not have press releases.

Stay tuned.

19. Seriously
Not a thing in the press releases or the blog is anywhere near the importance of unprosecuted financial crimes. This is civilization-ending level stuff here and he is nearly absent (as is the SEC).

Maybe you'll be interested after the next shock to the economy (coming very soon).

21. Unprosecuted financial crimes?
Hey, there's no reason to look back. We have to look to the future so we can continue to build this great country of ours.

Wall Street did nothing wrong...nothing to see here...move along now...

9. Julian Assange threatened to do it.
Seems like Anonymous has taken up the slack while Assange deals with his issues.
